[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Teaching my children about God.

2. Discipling other children.

3. Being the best Christ follower/Wife/Mom that I can be.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I enjoy working with children the most and also people who have similiar goals.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I am excited about a particular ministry opportunity to go into the public schools and share Christ with kids. This particular ministry stretched me way out of my comfort zone where I had to rely on Gods help to fill in for my lack of talent. I am also excited about a new opportunity God has provided for me to help in preschool ministry. Young children are often not a priority in the church but Christ died for these little one and they deserve our respect because they are made in Gods image and they are important to God. I am concerned about the lack of teaching in the nursery department. Babies learn more in their first three years of life than they will at any other time. Their Ideas about God are already forming and we are missing out on opportunities to plant the seeds of Gods intentional love for them.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I came to know Christ in my early teens. I believed I was a Christian because I prayed a prayer for “Jesus to come into my heart” when I was a child with no real change. It was in Jr. High when John 15:5 came to my mind during a questionable party, “those who Love me obey my commands.” It was at that moment I realized that I didn’t love Christ because I didn’t obey Him. And I have never been the same!
