[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Play my keyboard and sing, it’s where I have my alone time with God, so I can be filled up and pour out to others

2. Writing, because it’s a form of releasing what’s on my heart. And I’m writing for a purpose to impact broken women through the book Gods put on my heart.

3. I love giving the lessons at Celebrate Recovery, because it gives me the opportunity to allow the Holy Spirit to come alive as I stretch myself as I am preparing for what God is calling me into…. speaking to broken women

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Women, 20-40, that have hurts habits & hangups. I love to speak truth and love into their lives as I encourage them where they’re at.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Worship band & CR excite me the most, and I also love walking around and welcoming new faces. I don’t enjoy when people put church work higher than Kingdom work separating us from the world. I don’t enjoy when pastors preach Christianese and aren’t vulnerable. I don’t enjoy when leaders are so into making things perfect that they forget about the people.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

After having years of partying then going to church feeling convicted, I finally felt like I needed to give my whole life to the Lord. After I got baptized and proclaimed Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I let Him guide my life, but I held onto a few things. Denial and fear of not dealing with all of my past hurts. After a horrible 4 month separation with my husband I was able to reunite with him and have freedom from all of those hurts, forgiving the baggage of those I held onto for years. Chains broke, and now I’m able to serve the Lord and my family in a healthy way that I never did before.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Children’s Ministry: Richwoods Church, Peoria IL , 3 years

Worship Team: Bridgeway Church, Peoria IL, 4 years

Celebrate Recovery Leader: Bridgeway Church, Peoria, IL, 2 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

God placing deep friendships in my life, Julie & CJ. They’ve taught me so much about letting my guard down, and encouraging me to be myself, following the dream Gods placed on my heart.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To finish my book and use it as a tool to speak to hundreds of broken women at conferences and prisons.

4. Travel around the world with my family speaking to broken women and taking really awesome pictures.

5.
