S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Kyle Kiang for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I care about other people a lot, especially with their relationships with God; the consequences of having a bad one or none at all are too great. Therefore, I do everything in my power to strategically instigate conversations about Christianity to non-believers or people who have fell from their faith. Even though I don’t know everything about God’s teachings (not by a long shot), I feel that even if I can just start the conversation and share what little wisdom I have, it would be already infinite times better than if I were to shy away and not try.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This ties in with evangelism; I can sympathize with a lot of hurting people, and not only try to comfort them, but also point them to God with encouraging and (hopefully) wise words.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Again, this ties in with my answer for evangelism; a lot of people have misconceptions or simply wrong ideas about themselves and God. Because the possible consequences of not having a clear idea of who God is and what He’s like are too high, I do my best to explain and enlighten others on it. Sometimes the resulting conversations even enlighten me, and that can strengthen my own relationship with God too.
[H]eart
1. Worship through singing
2. Hanging out with friends and having meaningful conversations
3. Eat yummy food
I like teaching kids in Sunday school- they’re innocent and don’t already have misconceptions about God. They don’t hate others, and it’s a lot easier and safer (in my opinion) to raise a child up in God and surround them with caring guides, than to not do it, and hope that one day, they’ll find their way on their own, or pray for God to miraculously reveal Himself to them. (<– although this does happen, and it changes even the hearts of hardcore atheists. I just mean that this doesn't happen for everyone)
I’m concerned that non-believers won’t listen intelligently to what Christians say about our religion. The reason that they sometimes don’t give us the time of day is that they may be too quick to judge all of us on what some people who call themselves “Christians” do. An example of this would be pedophiles who call themselves Christian, or hypocrites who claim things like “God hates gays and sinners” etc.

[A]bilities
I’m a student
I can bring people together really well and I’m good at deescalating situations. I have an OK singing voice for worship, and I can also lick my elbow.
Nothing. Other than teaching Sunday School, I don’t think I’m anywhere near wise enough or qualified enough to teach others.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
Grew up in the church, started seeing how God works in funny ways. I’ve seen how God has answered my prayers, whether it be how I originally wanted them to be answered, or not. In high school, God revealed himself to me more and more. I have come to many realizations over the years; many of which strike me when I am still and pensive, but also when I am loud and proclaiming God through singing and worship
Sunday school and sports camps at my church (Burnaby Alliance Church), as a teacher, helper, and just as someone to talk to.
First time I told someone who didn’t already know, that I was a Christian. Then I found out that they were too, and that helped me get over the fear of coming out as one and being judged for it.
Whenever I am in the worship team, and praising God with my peers.
Messing up some big presentations and performances; these experiences helped grow me as a person, and they helped kickstart me on how much I rely on God’s power and not my own.
My mom got cancer a while ago. While we were able to get it out of her, and she was healed, God really used this to emphasize to me how so many other people aren’t as lucky as us, and how He not only has the authority to give life, but also to take it away.
Messing up in front of a bunch of people and embarrassing myself
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Become a singer and artist as well renowned as any other, but to make sure that I am doing it for God, so I can be the best role model for leading others to Him. (Unlike many other influential artists who are Christian, but don’t bother)
4. Do something amazing for some people who need it, and using that as an opportunity to share God with more people.
5. Help solve some world problems, like sickness, poverty, or hunger
