S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Kymberlee Solnok for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in a christian family, was always involved in serving in church. When I was a teenager, I had 9 years where I was fighting an extreme eating disorder; anorexia, bulimia, suicidal thoughts and actions. This was the first time in my life that I was fully aware of God showing up and carrying me through. Even though I grew up as a believer, this gave me a different way of thinking and KNOWING he was my God, that He’d never leave me, give up on me, and that He’d died for everything I was experiencing, and would see me to the other side.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Delta Oaks, Antioch, CA-worship and tech, 10 years

Golden Hills Community Church, Brentwood, CA-worship team, small group leader for HS girls-5 years total

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Touring with a singing/dancing group each summer to share the love of Christ

Mission trips to Tijuana, Mexico to build houses for the homeless

Finding a church home as a teenager to be spiritually fed and able to serve more

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being treated differently at an old church for being the only family that wasn’t homeschooled, my brother and I were sort of the outcasts of our youth group

Treated badly for having “problems”(eating disorder related)

Treated badly after leaving a church as a teenager without my parents or brother
