S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Bob Whitaker for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I find myself often not satisfied with the common understanding of many Scriptures. When I study, it’s lengthy and deep. Aftern, I love sharing what I’ve found and asking for opinions and guidance.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
For some unknown reason people seem to want to talk with me. They share things with me I don’t want to know nor ever repeat. Most times I’m empathetic with them and try to lift them up and to Father.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
When I care for people, I do so deeply. I’ve found myself trying not to, due to genuinely being disappointed with people. Also, I find myself not having the emotional inventory to invest.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
Growing up in the south, it’s implied you’re born a Christian. At age 5 or so I walked the aisle at a local church, said the sinners prayer, and got baptized. From there I grew up living like hell. Home life wasn’t good for training up a young Christian. At the ripe old age of 17, I found out I was going to a dad. Scared to death is an understatement. After years of struggling, resisting, and studying I had to solve this problem. I talked to the Pastor of the church we were attending. From there I’ve surrendered. I got to see first hand God turning a sinful circumstance that was meant to do us harm into the biggest blessing of my life.

My wife and I deciding that we were not going to repeat our parents mistakes
Working for myself
Terrible home life growing up
Witnessing a terrible car accident that killed 3 people. Having to be one of the first people on scene.
Years lived outside of God’s will
