S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Lauren for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to encourage and exhort people. I love looking for ways to lift them up, make them laugh, see them smile. If someone is having a bad day I won’t to be the first one to hear why and help them through it.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
To be honest, I’m not sure I do have this spiritual gift. I have a deep heart for the lost but I feel I do much better in a discipline situation than a converting situation. I’ve known this is an area I want to grow and I love sharing the truth of God with people but I know I sometimes have a disconnect with trying to relate to nonchristians and then bringing Christ fully into it.

#3 Gift, Prophecy (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel I have the gift of prophecy because often while having my quiet times with God or when I’m just going about my day I will see, hear, or read something and immediately a name will pop into my head of who I need to share it with. Sometimes I know why, sometimes I don’t. I also feel that I have the ability to see through someone’s spiritual life and pinpoint their weaknesses in their faith and most of the time I don’t have a problem confronting them on it in hopes to correct their relationship with Christ and/or others.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I believed for a time God did not exist or he did not care because of a hardship I faced as a child. I was a bitter, angry, foolish, and self-centered person. He grabbed hold of my heart my 7th grade year of school in an incredibly miraculous and powerful way at a Christian school camp to kick off the start of the year and that changed the way I looked at life and people.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Celebration Church, Akron OH, volunteered in nursery and on the worship team and in a lot of other general volunteer capacities, 4 years.

Christ Community Chapel, Hudson OH, youth group worship team and children’s ministry intern, 2 years.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Being a part of my high school’s “School of Ministry” program. It shaped a lot of my spiritual disciplines and ways I approach people.

God coming through for me hugely in a financial way in order to go back to school.

Being a part of Cedarville University’s Women’s Soccer team.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Breaking my hip twice and a few other serious injuries that halted my soccer career for long periods of time.

My parents going through and unbelievably messy divorce.

Moving states when I was young taking me away from all my family and friends.

Wrapping It Up

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Being a part of a soccer team the traveled the world to share the gospel with people.

4. Create long term sports/outdoor activity camps to evangelize to and disciple young people.
