#1 Gift, Evangelism (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have seen and felt the changes God brings to one’s life simply from knowing Him and being His friend. The belonging that is felt from knowing Christ is unmatched and I want others to feel that love and belonging.

#2 Gift, Administration (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a business background and enjoy leading groups of people on projects and tasks. I management type roles and coordinating and organizing activities. I like crossing items off of a to-do list and improving efficiencies and procedures.

#3 Gift, Serving (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Serving is rewarding to me. I love to do things for others. It is a way I show love as sometimes I am not great at verbally expressing my love and dedication but when I serve others and help them with tasks, needs, or anything, I too am rewarded. I have a heart for others and serving is the best way I know how to express that. I love public speaking and teaching but I fell that I need more understanding of God’s word to communicate that effectively. (to adults anyway)

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Spend time with my kiddos and teach them about the Lord. Spending quality time with family and friends.

2. Teaching and leading others, especially when it is to do volunteer work or work for others.

3. Getting active and improving my health

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

typically adults who have similar ambitions and drives but I have found that the more I work with kids, the more I enjoy it.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Single Mom ministry. I am really praying that this takes off and we are able to reachthose moms that need us, special needs- especially for kiddos (sensory rooms, helpers, etc.) I love being a part of the church event planning and would love to do more of that too.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in the Lutheran church and have always known that Christ is my Savior but fell away in high school through my twenties. I returned when I came to Living Word on the first Sunday of 2015. Since then I have grown my relationship with Christ and am continually getting to know Him more.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

LWN: 2016- Present: Kindergarten Children’s Church teacher, Greeter, Offering Counter, Wednesday Ladies Bible Study assistant, Small Group Host, Agape leader(haven’t started this yet though), basketball coach, random volunteering

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Becoming a mother. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Being raised by my parents and the closeness of my family. My mom is one of the most selfless and loving people I know and she helped shape who I am today.

Succeeding when I try my hardest, graduating from high school, college and grad school

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Physical and emotional abuse from a past partner. I was very young and alone in a city far from family and was partaking in activities I should not have been. I let this person into my heart and head and believed I deserved the way I was being treated because of the way I looked and the way I lived. I have compassion for other women being mistreated by their partners and know there is a way out and a future.

Finding out about my husband’s infidelity and that he basically had an entire life with another person, while we had kids together. After the divorce, he chose not to be involved with his Children and has seen them a handful of times over the last 3 years. There were much more positive effects of this in the long run and even without a biological father present, the kids are not short of love or a positive male influence and I have come to realize that I deserve more from a partner.

Being terminated from a job that I moved accross the country for. Becoming depressed and alone but being able to come out of that and still succeed. Through all of the adversity (and through my upbringin), I learned how to stand on my own two feet and keep going. I am blessed to be able to provide for my kids and have learned from my mistakes.
