This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Tithing became very important to me after being saved. It was not immediate, but was blessed in many ways then and now when we tithe. I enjoy giving to the needy when able. I have given to people in restaurants when I felt they were in need.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy serving and getting involved when and where I am needed. I have been involved in all areas of church serving, children, committee, and financial. At this point in my life I cannot do some things because of back issues (rods and screws in my back). I like to stay busy,
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I was a manager in the life insurance industry for 37 years in the financial realm. I probably would describe myself as a perfectionist.
[H]eart
1. Gardening, being outside during the warm weather and being around people. I currently work two days per week at Centerpoint Gift shop. I enjoy technology and staying as current as possible on social media. I love to read anything by Jan Karon, the Bible, Proverbs 31 ministries, and listening to music. I enjoy many varieties of music, and love attending Broadway plays when location and money is available. My favorite musical is the Lion King. Two precious grand-daughters take up a lot of my time, and love being around them and their friends.
2.
3.
Children over 4, senior adults (60 and older). I can usually get along with most personalities.
Making sure there are no hungry or unclothed children and adults within the congregation. Once a person has accepted the Lord as their savior, make sure the church is having classes that will keep that new Christian is getting fed and does not feel out of place in the seasoned Christian groups.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I was saved at Duncan Rd Baptist Church at the age of 35. I had attended church most of my life, but did not realize I didn’t have a relationship with Christ until we started attending this church. The New Believers class was very instrumental in my growth as a new Christian.
Duncan Rd Baptist – nursery, Ed and I lead Children’s church several years, many committees, financial secretary producing year end giving reports.
Coventry Estates Baptist Church – greeters, kept the landscape weed free, mulched, etc. Worked in Bible School kitchen.
As I stated, New Believers class.
Attending Sunday School (small groups).
Attending church on a regular basis.
Affairs within the church staff, and realizing we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. The healing and breakdown of a church when this happens.
Pastor putting sensitive things on Facebook, and the negative impact it made on my life. When I confronted him, he turned it around that I needed help. Did not handle this well. Felt betrayed by someone I had respect for.
