S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Lonnie Carlton Moore for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Administration (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have served in the secular job market in a management capacity for over 30 years… I started a Mens Fellowship in our church over 30 years ago, served as President for several terms, Sunday School Superintendent for a number of years, and worked with the Youth for many years within the church.

#2 Gift, Teaching (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have taught in the Sunday School for over 30 years… Preached as a fill-in pastor during a difficult 6-months till the position was filled…

#3 Gift, Prophecy (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
For over 30 years, I have had an ‘illusions’ (magic) program/presentation, being invited to 10-12 various denominations, youth groups, prison… I have a full understanding that DEATH is inevitable… Eternity is forever… Christ IS going to return… When I tale my last breath, ‘then’ Christ has returned for me (in so many words)… I firmly believe that until a person has figured out how to leave, they can never enjoy the benefits of being here…

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I enjoy ‘working’… I have retired twice and in both situations, it was a disaster, spiritually! I enjoy making others LAUGH… I like to ‘fix’ things in people’s lives, not to be ‘nosey’ but to encourage and help others along their journey here.

2. I enjoy my private time… fishing… alone… and with friends as well.

3. I love my FAMILY, wife, children, grandchildren… But honestly, for short periods of time… Our family (large – 20) will visit as a group for 7-10 days at a time… At a point, as much as I love them, I want them to go to their own homes…

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Seniors and 6-12 year old are the most receptive to my illusions ministry… I show the illusions… back up the program with Bible stories and truths and try as the Spirit leads, make ‘an impact’ in their lives…

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Taking a leadership role… I have a hard time accepting apathy from our fellow members…

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Hard to say at times… Early on (16-17), I had an encounter where a friend stood up for me as another placed a gun to my face, cursing — frankly, I ran, leaving my friend to face the situation. As I stood in the darkness, I could hear him pleading for my!!!… Haven’t always been a Christian — failed on numerous times, but have always known that God/Jesus had ‘plans’ for me to SHARE His Word, and live in a way as to bring others to Him!!!

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Friendly Holiness PFWB… 40 years+

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My Mother — never gave up on me. Regardless, she loved me anyway!!

My early years — Sunday School teachers…

My educational teachers… They believed in me!

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Unfaithfulness to my wife!!! God’s forgiveness is beyond measure!!

Drinking my self OUT of college… The only one of four children to go to college… Dad sold the family tractor in order to get the tuition… I blew it after the first year!!!

Letting my Dad leave this world without me EVER telling him ‘I love you’ or hearing him say those words to me… I was 19 when he died!!!
