S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Leah Floyd for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have been given a miraculous amount of mercy and grace; from God, friends, and my family. Because I have been given much, I have this beautiful ability to give back even greater.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have lived in the trenches, but God never left me. While I was addicted to drugs and alcohol, God was there with me through it all. I can remember clearly, being high on cocaine but praying to God that he would specifically take the urge away from me so that I could go home and be the kind of mother I wanted to be for my young daughter. Besides the fact that I was high while I was talking to my Father in heaven, He heard me and he honored and answered that prayer in an unforgettable way. He lovingly pushed and encouraged me to be the mother that I am today, and I cannot sing His praises enough! I have been down and out, and because of that, I know how it feels to be discouraged; to believe you will never get on your feet after circumstances knock you down. But THANKS TO GOD, I also know how amazing it feels to know within my spirit that God Almighty is encouraging me regardless of the fact that everyone else had turned their backs on me due to how despicable I had become. Because of these experiences, I have the God-given wisdom and ability to give to others what God gave to me in my greatest time of need.

#3 Gift, Giving (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m reminded of a time where I was homeless, strung-out on whatever drug I could get my hands on. I had lost my house, gotten kicked out of my parent’s house, kicked out of my aunt’s house, then lost my daughter because I was living with a cousin whose house should have been condemned. Once my cousin finally told me I couldn’t stay with her anymore either, I found myself begging for a childhood friend to take me in. Her house didn’t even have a floor or a back door; it was an all-time low for me to beg to stay there. Her house was known for being infested with bugs and was utterly disgusting. I had no where else to go and she had nothing much to give, but every bit that she did have, she graciously offered to me.
To change that theme a little bit, I want to zero in on a saying that I have always believed and held close to my heart since hearing it: “it is more of a blessing to give than to receive”

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
