Thank you Leah for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up in a Christian home and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour many time but when I was 7 I remember coming to the realization that sin is knowing what to do but not doing it and no matter how much I tried on my own only Jesus could truly forgive me and save me and give me to the power to overcome sin.
I got a job I was not qualified for based on paper merit, This was God fulfilling a word He spoke and He did what only He can.
I was elected as a Church Director in my late 20’s, God proved His love for me that in how He’d break every barrier that man may set up. I was the first female, the first unmarried and the youngest to ever sit on the Board.
The ability to travel to different countries for the sake of the Gospel and see God everywhere, it’s strengthening
My parents divorce, affected my identity and it’s then I learnt who I am in Christ.
My 5 year old cousin’s death and a very trying time in my life. I learnt that we can blame God or Trust God and trusting Him is always better!
God’s call is not just for me it’s bigger that me, when I felt the Lord ask me to step out in faith while I was struggling in University not because I was being lazy because some how what I was learning was not lining up with Scripture.
