#1 Gift, Evangelism (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
In the past six years, I’ve given much of my time developing friendships with the unchurched in my neighborhood and community. Whenever there is opportunity to share my faith story, I feel an impowering from God. I know seeds have been planted. I’ve witnessed the growth. Walking beside others in their sorrows, frustrations, hurts, loss, etc, I find, is vital in bringing people to Jesus. In my life time, I may not see the harvest on the fields I’ve had the privalage to plow but God knows and will supply workers to finish what He began.

#2 Gift, Teaching (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
When I was younger, I believed, this was my primary spiritual gift. Over the years I taught many women’s Bible studies on a regular basis and even preached a few times. I love the process of studying the Bible and discovering ways to make the truth come alive in our every day lives. I long for others to discover how valuable it is to walk closely with God and learn the truth of his word, putting it into action.
Journey church, I feel has not been open two women upfront teaching. I’ve had opportunity to give a word of testimony and/or teach with JD. I enjoy this too, but at this point in my life I feel a calling to teach and encourage others through a book I’m creating for my kids and grandkids of my a book of my paintings paired with my writings. My goal is to be finished toward the end of this year. It’s a bit overwhelming but I’m so excited about this project and believe it’s an important work for my family.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I graduated with a degree in social work with an emphasis on death and dying. I worked in a hospital for my internship, with children and their parents in life death situations. This was at a time when our society, or culture didn’t know how to handle death and dying. Unfortunately, I could never convince any of the hospitals in San Francisco, that they needed a social worker, working full-time, helping patients and their family understand and cope with death and loss. Throughout my adult life, God has put in my path, people that are suffering physically in life/death situations and others who have lossed a spouse or child. Just recently, a friend of mine, lost her 54-year-old husband to a stroke. Over the last two weeks, God has constantly brought her to my mind, to pray for her and her kids. I’m very alert to those requests from God and desire to obey him, whenever
He directs me to pray, even if it’s in the middle of the night. I’ve felt called over these past few weeks to write her each morning, just to let her know I’m praying for and weeping with her. Notes of love, a verse, to let her know she is not alone in her grief. This all takes time and sometimes, honestly, I’m exhausted from it but there is sweetness in obedience.
I love to to encourage but I’m also comfortable with engaging in difficult situations when truth needs to be said lovingly.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Sitting with God, Writing/ studying Gods word/praying every day

2. Being in a deep relationships with others

3. Creating

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Everyone. I don’t think there’s any certain age that draws me but at the moment I’m spending more time with people that are 60 and older.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I’m drawn to thinking and collaborating about the worship service itself
– the needs of the congregation and how the worship service can meet some of those needs.
– leading people to worship God.

-how we can create an atmosphere of worship, receiving God‘s word, and letting God uniquely work in the hearts of each of us during worship, communion, teaching, and community of believers.
I,also, love greeting, meeting and welcoming everyone who walks through our doors.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
