S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Eva Knight for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

I was quite surprised that I scored so high on Administration! I figured teaching would be a higher score, Or at least make the top three since I enjoy that as well seeing people develop and grow.
However, in answer to the question, I feel I have gift of administration because many times I have gone into an organization, Church, etc and I can see an issue and I will see the solution, temporary work around to the problem until better can be done. Sometimes I’ll also understand what needs to be done at the moment in order to obtain the goal. Usually a leader has a vision but they don’t necessarily know how to go about making the vision possible in a systematic fashion. Many of them I have worked with were ego-driven or overly ambitious where they were unable to take steps- they’d rather take leaps and compare themselves to other more established ministries thereby frustrating their members and teams to accomplish something that they have not grown into. Many churches in the past through word of mouth- unbeknownst to me have asked me to come and critique their service or specific ministry. They would take the ideas and suggestions and used them but there was no acknowledgement or appreciation on their part so I wind it up feeling used because they would take my ideas run with it and disregard me. However, it felt good to watch that church elevate to a greater level of excellence for the work of that Ministry so I comforted myself knowing that at least they took the ideas and used it and that more people would benefit.

In regards to giving, I was surprised that I scored a 68%. I thought that would be higher because I love giving even though my contributions many times were used and I was dismissed. I now understand I was trying to sow into the wrong fields and it all works for my good. I may not have been assigned to them but because my heart is to give, I was always trying to find ways of giving- but I believe it was my way of hoping to be accepted and find a place of belonging as well.

Serving…This is an interesting one.
I believe I have these gifts of serving because I was conditioned to serve by my grandmother and mother with total disregard for what I want or desired. I was told more than once that what I wanted to be did not matter because I was here to serve. However, serving is something I do enjoy (it brings me joy when given where it you can see fruit from your contribution) whether it is cooking a meal for a family, collecting donations, clothing, sweeping , etc. I am always looking to see how I can put myself to use. Now I understand it’s important that when it’s not received that is okay. I no longer have to be confused or silently grieve.

1. Teaching and watching others grow So much fun!
2. Serving (done missionary work in the past) Awesome!
3. Bringing a greater level of excellence in whatever I touch especially when others will benefit. What is done for Jehovah must be done to the best of our ability- He deserves it! He’s FAMOUS!! 🙂
I believe the people I love to work with the most are children. Gives me permission to ask silly and have fun!
Church issues, ministries or possible need that excite me the most would be looking at something that is struggling and revive it- bring it to life

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
A brief testimony of how I became a Christian I was raised under my grandmother’s tutelage and at about the age of 13 I gave my heart to the Lord because I was really scared that I would go to hell and I saw a movie on the Cross and the Switchblade and I think that messed me up and made me run to the Altar and get saved and I got baptized soon after.
Ministry experience revolved around College Ministry, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Children’s ministry, Daily Vacation Bible Ministry, behind the scenes drama, Praise and Worship, MC concerts- John P KeeJunior, Junior Church.
Most at my grandmothers church, their affiliates, organizing and conducting training seminars in churches because they needed someone to help but they didn’t have the money to call in someone and I was willing to assist them in their goals.
Most of these opportunities were in Brooklyn New York or overseas on missions trips
Participating in praise and worship team
Traveling overseas on missionary trips
Setup by mutual people we knew: Meeting a nice man who is my husband
Purposefully ignored, mistreatment and rejection from powerful church leaders
My childhood caring for my grandmother at a young age till her death in June 2020.
Going through painful prolonged Postpartum depression and post-traumatic stress with the birth of all my children alone without family support.
