S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Lexus Vega for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Administration (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Three main reasons I feel I have the gift of administration are:
1. Raised with an eye to detail (father is military).
2. Studied it in college (degree in office management).
3. Habit (multiple jobs that required this skill so I’ve developed it IMMENSELY over the years).

Oh! It should go without mention, that I was created in God’s image– the ultimate admin of time.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Three main reasons I feel I have the gift of encouragement are:
1. I know what if feels like to NOT receive encouragement.
2. I know what if feels like TO receive encouragement.
3. I understand it’s one of the five love languages. And I love people. So, I’ve learned how to love people in the manner in which they like to be loved.

#3 Gift, Giving (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Three main reason I feel I have the gift of giving are:
1. Hallelujah! Because you can’t out-give God!
2. It’s a blessing to be a blessing.
3. I’ve been blessed and know how much it changed my life. Plus, it’s just too easy. I could encourage everyone to try it.

It should go without mention, we were called to give. I mean, God is the ultimate giver and He showed us the example so that we could partner with him and help bridge heaven and earth. (How cool is that?)

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. 1. Organize.

2. 2. Travel.

3. 3. Excellence.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with those who lean in. It’s an inclusive type of thing– not limited to gender or ethnic background. IF I HAD TO pick only one age group, it would be Frontline. Hence, why I serve there now. I understand that in this world, we don’t get to be a part of everything but we usually get the chance to choose what we wish to be a part of and in this season I choose to focus my time with this age group. Back in NY, it was teens. In Atlanta, it was college-aged. In Bali, it was orphans. In Australia, it was with our Muslim brothers and sisters. And when God calls me to lean in with another team/ people-group, I will.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Three main church concerns:
1. Connecting (including follow-up)
2. Mentoring
3. Coaching

[A]bilities

My current vocation:

I currently work and serve God (another platform/ sphere to influence outside the church) at Planet Fitness as an assistant manager training to be a club manager. My mission in life is to follow under the Christ-like leadership of Brian Houston’s Global Church Vision– to empower people to lead and impact in every sphere of life. I would love nothing more than to love God, love people and make disciples. I want to help develop people through an organization that promotes the same desire.

Other jobs I have experience in:

Marketing, Coordinating, Events, Organizational leadership, Office management.

Special talents/skills that I have:

1. One of my greatest superpowers is the ability to look through a situation and not at it.
2. I am fantastic with a budget.
3. I love to live life and challenge others to live life with intentionality and a 5-star approach.

I have taught a class or seminar on:

Communication in Ministry and Personal Leadership courses for Hillsong College first year students. The Alpha series. The SHINE curriculum.

I feel my most valuable personal asset is:

Like Paul, I am a chameleon. I am able and willing to be whatever I need to be to advance the kingdom. I am great at learning new skills. I am amazing at connecting with others. I crave to do it all with excellence, efficiency and fun!

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

In 1999, I was gifted a bible. In 2009, I was invited to a Christian non-denominational church service– by a Jewish girl who was invited by one of her hospital patients!!– and was encouraged to read it AND APPLY IT during an alter call. Since then, I whole-heartedly devoted my life to Jesus and followed His promises with child-like faith: Seeing every promise come to fruition.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Hillsong Church– Mesa, AZ: Since October 2018, my husband Dane and I have been faithfully serving. We are known as the professional gap-fillers because we do whatever role it takes to fill the gap. We help lead the 11am with Billy & Ashley Spriggs, as their 2IC, operating in our Venue and Operations teams. We also 2IC for our Frontline Connect with Shane & Charity Turner. Finally, as Hillsong College Alumni, we are eager to support Hillsong College in any capacity with whatever Blake Robinson needs. Oh! and of course, we partner with CityCare initiatives!!

Hillsong College– Sydney: From 2015- 2018, as a Hillsong College student, I attended and served full-time for three years in Hillsong Church in Australia. I’ve volunteered in almost every position from the parking lot, to the SHINE program with ladies in our community, to the executive lounge at our massive Hillsong Conference events.

Christian Faith Fellowship– NY: From August 2009 until I left to Australia in 2015, I was actively involved and regularly serving and leading in both our Young Adults and Youth programs.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

1. Going to Hillsong College in Australia. Leaving it all behind for the great unknown to follow a God-calling. I was engaged at the time and broke it off 26 days before the wedding because I KNEW that Hillsong College was my next step and he didn’t feel the same way. There I was immersed in a new country, new culture, and new experience in my faith journey… newly single and with only $1,000 in my pocket.

2. Volunteering. My desire to leave a place better than when I found it came from the example I witnessed through others as I volunteered. I have meet and been impacted by SO MANY other human beings that I would have not had the opportunity to otherwise. We learn from each other and glean from each other. What a beautiful way to spend our energy– for the sake of others. When I stop to think about it, I get to be reminded in visions of all the faces of all the people in which I got to serve. From the orphanage in Indonesia, to the youth at teen camps in NY, to the college-aged groups in Atlanta, to the women who boldly attended the SHINE or Sisterhood program in Australia: Each scenario involved decisions of countless individuals to take one step closer to community and one step closer to whom God called them to be. I love that I get to be a part of it and I love being able to encourage others to do the same!

3. Learning. I was always good at school. I excel in whatever I put my mind to. I especially LOVE growing in knowledge and wisdom! (Either by reading books, listening to podcasts, watching documentaries, gleaning from the lives of those already running the race, etc.) I want to be the best version of me I can be and have the capacity to do so (Praise God for creating us in His image). I am ever-so-grateful for the time I got to learn by working closely with leaders in my church. Isn’t it great that iron sharpens iron?

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

1. Certain deaths: Multiple classmates who have overdosed (to many to count).; My friend, Johnny, who was fatally shot in NC.; My friend, Mariana, involved in a fatal car wreck (before our first day of college). When my Grandma Raquel died with Alzheimers. It calls me to reflect on the legacy I get to leave behind.

2. Leaving home at 17 years old– right before graduating high school (because my dad was abusive and I finally had the courage to stand up for myself). It allowed me to experience first-hand how God heals and restores. (I am happy to report, my dad and I are friendly now.)

3. This personality test. HA! I accidentally deleted my first one (when I was just about ready to submit it) and when I retook the test, I got different results! I guess during the week at my secular job, I exhibit a certain style of leadership and at church on the weekends, I enter into another style of leadership. At the end of it all, it was nice to reflect and I am grateful for the opportunity. I know a personality test doesn’t define me and am happy to have finally finished this. Yet again, with perseverance, I overcame.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Give: Give away $1 Million (in one setting). It shows that I have been faithful over little (to be in a position to do this.)

4. Global Leadership Initiative: Implement the Hillsong College curriculum to all high schools.

5. Life Skills: Financial Peace University requirement to work in ministry.
