This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Speaking about my faith to others is something I do regularly through homeless ministry and outreach. I know there is a LOT of space to grow in this as I learn and become more Biblically fluent.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I haven’t tried this in a ministry place just yet, but I enjoy sharing what I know with others. Speaking in front of large crowds frightens me a bit, but it also excites me to share and educate others as a tool to mobilization.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I do this regularly in my full-time position in missions and mobilization, young adults, and university ministries. I’m good at details and organizing things, but it does not always bring me fulfillment as it lacks in relationship. I DO enjoy being able to see things come together because of the detail work I get involved in.

[H]eart

1. I love to spend time singing, playing the piano, listening to music, and making art. Creative hobbies help me to unwind, and allow for fun friendships. I also really love being able to participate in worship through singing – it’s a natural place to be in ministry!

2. I LOVE to travel. I love other cultures, languages, foods, and celebrating those things as I learn from people who grew up in different places. I love to see different sights and be in places that are unfamiliar. There is so much to learn from, and so many ways to see and celebrate God’s creativity and creation!

3. My work in missions is absolutely fulfilling. I enjoy having my hands in many different ministry areas, learning from leaders, speaking into the lives of those I work with, and seeing the ways God works through the teams and ministries I am involved with.

I enjoy working with all types of age groups for different reasons. I also find that I love to work in homeless ministry and cross-cultural settings.

[E]xperience

I grew up a “Christian” and knew the basics of the gospel. I led a destructive high school through college life and planned my life based on my own terms. When I gave up singing (where my identity was) and began working in a church, I learned, through a painful time of anxiety, loss, and depression, that the only hope I had was Christ. Even after that, I was still dependent on myself and my own plans and still avoided truly inviting Christ into my life to change me. When my mom got sick with pancreatic cancer, I turned to prayer – more seriously than I had ever done in my life. Even as my mom got worse and eventually passed away, God revealed to me, through signs and His word, that He was with me, He was protecting me, and He was listening to my prayers. He worked in a HUGE way through that time and I love to share the story with those facing difficulties. I knew my role in admin assistance for family ministry wasn’t where my future would lie and moved into the missions area. Since then I have felt more alive and in the right place than ever in my life. I have grown to understand why I have walked through many different times in my life as God has prepared me for this time and look forward to the ways he will use me as I discover more about the gifts I haven’t ever known about or developed.

My mother’s death was painful, but has been my ultimate testimony. It has given me a space to talk about loss and hurt, but also healing and hope.

Changing careers, and thus my identity – understanding destructive habits that this identity created through ego, pride, and the need for assurance from others. I still struggle with needing others’ opinions before stepping out on faith!

Several heart breaks leading up to finding my husband led me to understand that my priorities were wrong. The hurt I felt while trying to pin my hopes in human relationships before my relationship with God was leading me down wrong paths, and caused me a lot of pain.
