My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was saved at a young age at a youth camp. I was probably scared into heaven then, but have learned to Love the Lord and accept his sacrifice for my sin and I desire to show him my love more and more each day by obeying the Holy Spirit that lives within me.

Elder, SS teacher of college adults, Deacon, building maintenance, parking- Smith Memorial Baptist, Williamsburg, VA ( 2010-2016)

SS substitute teacher, building maintenance assistant. Fairview Baptist Church, Parkersburg WV (1997-2000)

Deacon, personnel committee, SS teacher of college and young executives, capital campaign lead- Swift Creek Baptist Church, Midlothian Va( 1992-1997)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Seeing my Dad come to Christ and the change it had on his life

Getting married to a Godly woman and the impact she has on my Christian walk

Seeing successful teams working together at churches and at vocational jobs.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I doubted my salvation while in College as I would wander away from the Lord and then come back thru his love.

Being new at several locations and having to “prove” myself again and again.

I saw my wife go through cancer. it was both a positive and a negative. It was great to see God’s goodness to us but it was hard to see my wife suffer through the treatments and surgeries.
