S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Mary Breaker for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It relates back to my job. I work with college aged students and the primary focus of my job is to help them be successful. A huge part of that job is talking with students and helping them learn that actions have consequences.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I understand that life is gray. I think that more often than not once given the context behind people, it can explain their actions. Context does not absolve them but it provides a roadmap for what drives people to do what they do. When I have to have conduct cases with my students, I try to learn as much about them as I can so that the sanction will be the best one for that particular student.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I honestly have no idea. This one shocked me.

1. I like to read the news and stay up to date on what is happening in the world around me.
2. Helping my students achieve their goals. One of my students got into graduate school and I was so excited for her.
3. I like to relax and do low maintenance things such as watch television, maybe play video games, or listen to music. My job can be so commanding on my time, that I find joy in doing things that can be self care related and help me focus on myself.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

During Wednesday Chapel (I went to private school), my bible teacher was going over the types of people someone shouldn’t be associated with. I realized that I fell into a few of those categories and I wanted to change. I was going through a lot at the time and wanted to be better for myself.

Going to graduate school in Arkansas taught me how to preserve to get to the light at the end of the tunnel. My time there was not the best but that experience was necessary to get the job that I have now and to propel myself into the career that I want in the future.
