S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Cynthia Emily Scott for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Mercy Showing (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have been shown much more mercy than I deserve. I love working with those who are struggling in life, because I have been there many times….throughout my entire life. I am definitely the least, and I know it.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have lead groups, and taught classes. I have very much enjoyed doing so, and have grown so much because of this.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Work with those who struggle/struggled with deep issues of self worth, addictions, hopelessness; those whom basically know what it feels like to be thrown away by society, or be the “freak”

2. Working with women to help them heal from abortions, because I know that pain will eat a person from the inside out if not dealt with.

3. Leading small groups around these things. Teaching others that they are loved, despite their past. That they do have value. Encouraging the broken.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

The brokenhearted. Those crushed in spirit. Those who feel they are worthless, and just want to die.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Encouraging the brokenhearted/those crushed in spirit.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Invited to a Christian church (was attending a new age kind of church, and didn’t know the difference). I was so broken, I thought there was no real hope for me, although I think I remained optimistic anyway. I was deeply searching for healing….I don’t know how aware I was of this at the time, but I wanted help and healing. I needed help and healing.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

PRC (Pregnancy Resource Centers) of greater Portland – HEART program (where my heart was, working with post abortive women in small intensive groups that met once a week for 3 months) and also as a center peer counselor (Gresham, OR. Center). Teaching/sharing my testimony at New Beginnings Church in Portland, OR. H & I through the narcotics anonymous program. Sharing my testimony in local jails and rehab facilities. Having bible study groups in my home before my divorce after a string of surgeries.

Assistant to pastors at New Beginnings Church in Portland, OR…church where I gave my life to Christ. Helped wherever needed.

HEART through PRC of greater Portland) – Portland, OR (7 years)
H & I – Portland, OR (1 year)
Peer counselor for women in bad situations – Gresham, OR (7 years)
Sharing testimony in local jails, rehabilitation centers (inpatient), and in local churches within the Portland Metro area. (7 years)
Visit surgery patients in hospital (8+ years)
Held bible study groups in my home (1 year)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Working with HEART program

Working with Addicts

Working with hopeless/suicidal; those society loves to hate.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Major surgeries/continued health issues

Divorce/broken relationships/trust issues

Addiction/worthlessness/ hopelessness through total despair, and loss of desire to live. Suicide attempts.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To go everywhere and share Christ.

4. Healing others physically (like the Jesus did; like His disciples did), which also obviously means emotionally and spiritually

5. Ending poverty forever.
