Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I feel that I have always been a Christian. I was raised Catholic and in my mid 20’s I started to attend a Protestant church and liked the format, service and pastor. Started to grow my faith through attending that church. Once my children were born we moved and joined he current church I attend. Joined a few different small groups through the years and continued to grow my faith. I really don’t have a defining moment when I became a Christian. I feel like I always have been but continue to grow.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Orchard Hill Church – Wexford PA – 1990 – 1997 Served at the welcome desk. Preparing tapes and CD’s of the message

Crossroads Church – Oakdale PA – 1997 – Current – Served at the Welcome Desk for several years were we made and sold CD’s of the message. Worked signing in the kids at Kids-Zone for several years. Hosted Small Groups in our house. Helped run 2 different small groups. Helped out with Focus outreach several years, Usher/Greeter, Served Communion at 9:00 Chapel Service. several years.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I have been extremely blessed in my life to have a wonderful family. Two great parents and two wonderful sisters. In this family I learned how to love, give, share, argue, how to listen, forgive and grow. How to not take myself so seriously and to stay humble and not ever forget where I came from and the importance of having God in my life. Growing up with this family has shaped me into the woman, wife, mother and friend I am today.

I have so many good friends. Life long friends from every stage of my life. These experiences have taught me not only what it is to have a friend but what it takes and how to be a good friend. Friends come and go and many have but I can really say that I have been so lucky to say that more have stayed. Being a good friend and having good friends has shaped me and impacted me in teaching me acceptance, love, commitment and loyalty and appreciation on precious these people are.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My second son was born 3 1/2 months premature and had many obstacles and health issues. I remember sitting at the end of my bed the first morning before heading to Children’s hospital praying and asking God to not let him suffer and to prove me with strength and guidance to proceed with with was ahead. After that i found it hard to pray because i just didn’t know what to pray for and I remember allowing others to handle the prayers while I focused on him, my husband, other son etc. I experienced the power of prayer in that point if my life first hand. People I didn’t even know were praying for my son and my family. It helped me to speak to others going through similar situations and to always pray for others when asked. I have been able to use that situation as a talking point when explaining the power of prayer and how God can bring peace to your world in the midst of difficult times. I am beyond grateful to say that my son is now a strong healthy 25 year old

During the recession of the early 2000’s my husband had a company that he had to close which caused us to fall on hard times financially. There were times when i wasn’t sure we would be able to stay in our house but I continually saw Gods hands in our lives and his blessings every day. I remember clearly hearing this pop up in my brain “God will make a way where there seems to be no way” I learned to tryst Him and rely on Him for guidance and comfort. It has help me to be able to share my story over the years.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Build a facility for my dear friend who runs a Christian program for inner city kids. Also provide him with a decent salary, vehicle and retirement fund for him.

4. Help council people who don’t fee worthy and are down on themselves. Talk with them, council, encourage and help guide them to feel better so they can do better for themselves.

5. Help the needy, homeless and hungry. Provide resources needed for this or to be able to go on a missions trip.
