Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was in high school and a friend kept talking to me about what it meant to be a Christian (I was a church-goer of a faith not strong in relationship to Christ) and prayed with her a few months later to receive the Lord, then fell in love with Him and sought help to follow Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Turkey–missionary, Işık, Diriliş and Ankara Protestan Churches – 8 years

Denver – Bridgeway (member still, though not living there, pastor assistant – 1 1/2 years, involved in several ministries before leaving for mission field)

Denver – Church in the City (children’s pastor, small-group leader, Bible study leader, halfway-house ministry leader, nursing-home ministry leader)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Attending a young-women’s Bible study–really helped ground me when I was a new Believer

Helping with church plants–both in Denver and Turkey; I learned a lot about serving and how to help people grow, and helping children in their relationship with Christ

Being a small-group leader; I loved it and felt like I was able to help people pursue God and grow in their faith

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Political infighting in the church; it was devastating to watch a church implode, having been there from the day it was inspired to even be a church until 14 years later when I finally left, preceded by many of my friends. I really had to wrestle with a lot of different things to grow beyond it and it really helped me understand people who have been hurt in the church and not to assume it’s always the person’s fault.

Pastors who had no heart for people, but were focused on making names for themselves. Also a very tough one, but I learned where to focus my energies in order to help the body grow and lower my expectations of pastors, recognizing they’re people just like me.

Getting ordained and licensed as a pastor, but having very little opportunity to walk out that role because of negative views of the church towards women leaders (and that’s all over the world!). Still working on that one!
