[E]xperience

Met two girls in college that showed me a different side of Christianity than what I saw as a child growing up. They showed me that you can be a Christian but still have good clean fun and enjoy life and encourage those around you. The church I joined in college was also vastly more friendly than the one my parent’s attended.

Serve in the Membership Class 3 or 4 times a year; update class roster for two life groups am involved in at Chapel Rock

Having college professors and bosses who saw potential in me and encouraged me to stretch and reach for my dreams.

Working my way thru both undergraduate and graduate school while working full time showed me what I could achieve if I wanted it bad enough.

Taking the leap of faith to move to Indianapolis, not knowing anyone, to start a new job and graduate school gave me the courage to take more risks in my life.

While growing up in a stable and safe household; I was also isolated and had a pretty tight reign on my life. My parents were strict and didn’t tolerate foolishness.

My parents were small town folks and really didn’t encourage me to take risks and explore my talents such as sports or music.

My parents were not huggers or openly expressed their love for us, they displayed their love by providing a safe and stable home for us.
