S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Machelle Martin for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
My parents were Catholics, so i was confirmed in the Catholic Church. My mother got “Saved” and we started to go to a Pentecostal church. I accepted Jesus as my savior during that time as a young teenager.
I don’t have any Ministry Experience except for the year or so that i volunteered at a church in Cape Coral that has changed names several times and i cant remember the name of it at the time. Currently it is called City Church. I was a helper in the preschool sunday school class. I am ready to serve God now. Not really sure in what capacity, but i know the bible says that Jesus wants me to feed his sheep. I am ready to do that.
I hosted a bible study in my home and was able to learn some really deep things of God when i was a young mother. The woman was uneducated but seemed to be annointed by God to teach. She had some unusual beliefs, but i could feel the Holy Spirit in our meetings.
Becoming a mother to 3 children and experiencing pure unconditional love.
Moving to Florida, away from my family, which was at the time very difficult. It was the best situation for me, ultimately. I really am learning to Trust God with everything.
My brother is a recovering alcoholic, and i was VERY codependent because we were all involved in a small family business. Even tho I have always been very responsible, i also became an alcoholic in order to deal with all of the pain that his behavior created. I have compassion for anyone struggling with addiction of any kind because God has shown me the pain of addiction and the joy of breaking free.
My children gave me a lot of trouble as teenagers and I can relate to parents struggle in raising children and teenagers.
I used to feel like i was a little bit better than other people and God has shown me that I am just like everyone else in his eyes and that He loves all of us just the same, no matter who we are.
