Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I didn’t grow up in a Christian home. most of my life i felt abandoned my both of my parents who divorced when i was 9. My father idolizes work, and his girlfriend. My mother her work, and her boyfriend. My friends introduced me to alcohol and drugs when I was 13 years old, my step mom being an alcoholic I felt like my dad might love me if I was as well. I began to idolize the things of this world, until my sophomore year of High school. I finally realized there was nothing for me. I went to a camp and met a girl who discipled me, and loved me, even on my worst days. she pursued me continuously only because Christ pursues her daily. I began to see the true satisfaction and love that she had was only from Jesus. I wanted that. I began to trust Christ, but it wasn’t until the summer after my senior year I really began to treasure Christ and pick up my cross daily. I worked a christian camp that summer and It changed me. God used it to change me. I still fall short daily, but his mercies and his grace keeps me striving for His word. I am blessed with community, and accountability that pushes me to fully treasure Him even when I feel it is impossible.

My junior year of High School, I was sitting on a couch with Meredith Williams. She loved me more than I could love any one, only because Christ loved her that way. She asked me if i was a christians and to not hesitate when I answered. without hesitation I said I didn’t know. She then read to me 2 corinthians 7:10 which really stuck out to me. I asked her why she cared so much about me and she told me it wasn’t her it was Christ in her. that forever changed my life to see it’s all glory to Christ and that He loves me more than I can love anyone.
As a camp counselor there are things we are disciplined for. Each week we have to write things called CQs or Character Qualities. I forgot one week so I knew I was going to have to clean an inflatable after camp. My senior counselor walks up to me and tells me to grab a chair and walk to the inflatable. I knew that meant she was going to watch me do it. as we got out there she told me to sit down. she had not got wet all day, and that’s a blessing at camp! She began to climb on the inflatable and clean it while I sat there and watched her do it. I know it sounds crazy cheesy, but that to me was the first time I experienced true grace. arhat should’ve been me cleaning that inflatable, that should’ve been me on the Cross. I still am reminded of that moment when I see the need for grace. it’s impacted me to love others and give grace so much more than I ever would’ve before that moment.
This one was pretty recent. The church I attend has been talking about getting college aged ministry going, but it has yet to happen. I got really bitter that there are 500 members in our church, but yet no one cares to start a ministry that is very needed in our church and community. So, I started to skip church. I didn’t go for about a month. I was in discipleship and being held accountable, I would also go on wednesday’s because I was a leader so I wasn’t all out, but sunday’s were. my discipleship leader sat me down and told me that if i didn’t go to church on sunday not to bother coming to our discipleship meetings on monday’s. keep in mind, my discipleship leader is also one of my best friends. I really care what she thinks, but this time I didn’t. she gave me scripture and really pushed that church is important. finally the Lord convicted me in seeing that. i try not to msu’s now, unless i’m sick or out of the country or something crazy, but I have found such good community from it as well. the Lord has been so faithful through this process. I have heard some of the best sermons, met the best people, and my walk has grown in so many ways.
My parents have always been pretty absent in my life. I don’t see them or talk to them very often. they have always provided money and stuff to keep my sister and I alive and have the best of the best, but they were never there for us. for the longest time this made me full of anger and rage, and sometimes it still does. but i see other kids with this problem, and it sparks a light in me to love those people more and share the truths about Christ that He won’t abandon us and He isn’t absent.
My step mother is a huge alcoholiv. She’s not married to my dad but she’s lived there since i was 11 so i consider her my step mom. She used to throw things and yell a lot. I never understood why my dad would want someone like her, often times i still don’t. I have learned from this the importance of having a healthy balance. I never want alcohol to be my kids hell, or anyone’s. I see this sin, and want in every way to turn from it.
I was quite the “hood rat” back in the day. I partied, and did whatever I want. my pastor likes to joke that If the Lord can change me He can change anyone, it’s not a joke though, it’s truth. Through the hardest times that seemed the most satisfying, I am able to be shaped into the woman I am today. a God fearing, sin hating lady. I look back and my life and all the parties I went to and all I see is Gods grace. His change, the transformation. I can share that with others and instead of live in regret, live in truth of the Gospel and the change it has had on me.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. I would want to travel the US doing camp ministry. loving youth kids well, and showing them that you can have the best of times still loving the Lord. that it’s not boring.
4. I would begin bible studies in my home. Invite people over to fellowship. make them feel loved and welcomed and share with them the truth.
5. go into apartments or houses for those who are less fortunate and bring food and games. let it ben like a family reunion for everyone in the complex, and share jesus with them. show them I’m not doing it, but Christ is using me to do it.
