S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Madi Davis for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

[H]eart
1. I love helping people and being there for them. I find joy and comfort when I am helping people solve problems or work through an issue.
2. I love giving back to my community. I have grown up in a great town and I am blessed to have the life and abilities God has given me so I want to give back to my community and the people in it as much as possible. I love giving where I am able to.
3. I love teaching children. Teaching a child in school or church brings me so much joy. I love to see their face light up when they are learning about the amazing work God did to create this world and the people on it. Bringing the word of God to kids is the best gift I can give and I love it.
I love working with kids. I have worked with all ages from birth to college and through adults, but my favorite age is late elementary school around age 10.
Possible needs that excite me the most are ones where we are trying to reach our students on a level that is best for them. Finding new material to teach them that they will enjoy and actually learn from gets me excited.

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I became a Christian when I was around 8 years old at VBS. I knew I needed something more in my life and I wanted to spend forever in Heaven with the one who created me and loves me unconditionally so I said the prayer that my leader said and I accepted Christ into my heart.
I served in the nursery at SouthCrest Church from late elementary school through high school.
SouthWest Christian Church children’s ministry intern during summer 2018
Created and led a womens college aged lifegroup through my church down in Statesboro.
My middle school life group leader and I had a great connection and she really shaped me into the person I am.
Growing up with a family that is very strong in their faith and always puts God first has shaped me to be like that and be at church every Sunday and do everything I do for Him.
One of my friends did not go to church and did not support those who went to church so every time I was at church doing some church related event, I felt that I had to lie about where I was so they would not get mad and still talk to me. I made me so sad and I kept inviting that friend to church but they were resistant and anything related to God.
When my grandfather passed away two years ago I became angry and upset that God took him away from me so suddenly, but I grew to understand that he had done his job here on Earth and it was time to go home to be with God.
