Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I separated from the faith as a young teenager after my grandmother died suddenly and there was much upheaval in my life. Almost 10 years later I realized I was been called back to God. I’m sure He called much sooner than that but I was finally ready to hear Him. I felt broken and beaten up and returning to Him was like coming home. I still have many doubts and moments of feeling lost which is why I truly feel my story is very much unfinished. I believe and that’s a start but I have much to learn.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have been a coleader of a books study group: Boundaries and Safe People at FAC in 2013/2014.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Attending the book study Changes that Heal and Boundaries. I learned a lot about what was wrong in my life that caused me problems and how to start fixing those.

Finding my way out of the fog of depression has changed who I am and how I respond to things significantly so has resolving my past anger issues. Many steps to these not just one key thing.

Immigrating from South Africa to Calgary in 2004. Starting a new life.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Immigrating from South Africa in 2004 Leaving behind all my family and everything I knew and hitting a gigantic wall of depression in 2006/2007

The loss of my Grandmother in 2003 and feeling like my family was falling apart piece by piece from 2003 till 2010

Growing up not being understood and being seen as less than equal and having to fight for a voice also being bullied by many many different people including family members.
