Thank you Mallory Lee for taking the SHAPE Assessment. #1 Gift, Mercy Showing (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel that I was not born with this spiritual gift, but I have developed it over years of struggle and hardship. My life has not always unfolded the way that I had planned, and the times that were really hard showed me that everyone is really just trying their best. People fall on hard times, things happen, but the grace of God is free for anyone. The mistakes I have made in my life do not define who I am, and coming to that understanding has allowed me to look at other through the eyes I wish to be seen.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
My heart is filled with love and gratitude for my savior. I truly believe that he always has my best interest in mind, that his plan is working in my favor, and that is something that makes me soul feel so free. I love sharing what God has done for me in hopes that others can find the same comforting relationship.

#3 Gift, Giving (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I really believe that God uses us as a vessel. He blesses us to bless others, and with that mindset I have been able to experience so much joy through giving. God has blessed my family beyond anything that I ever thought I would have, and I feel the most fulfilled when I let that financial blessing pass through us to a a family who is really in need. Also, I love giving my time. I think people really feel loved and important when you are willing to give them your time.

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Spending time with my children will always be the most rewarding and fulfilling part of any day. I have 1 biological child, 1 adopted son, and 3 step sons. I see my role in all of their lives as a calling to show unconditional love. i think my job is to help shape them into strong, loving, servants of God’s kingdom.

2. I love connecting with people. Whether it is an old friend, my mother, or a stranger- I love talking to people and finding out what makes them unique.

3. Serving others has brought so much peace into my life. It’s a strange thing to put on paper, but helping others who are struggling puts my life into perspective. Sometimes it is serving food at a foodbank, but other times it’s just sending a little note to a friend I know is struggling. Seeking out chances to speak into someone’s life makes my soul so happy.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

This is difficult to answer because I just like people! But, I do feel a tug in my heart towards people who are struggling. I lost a baby , I’ve been divorced, my family has struggled with drug addiction, and I know how hard life can be sometimes. My heart pulls towards poeple who are in a tough time, and just need someone to listen to their story.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

The thing I love most about Hillsong is that the church has open arms for all who are looking for God. It is so important to me that a church always loves the sinner and never condemns them for the sin. In a world that is so judgemental and critical, it is that Church and believers are a safe place for people to turn at any time. I also love community outreach. We are not just meant to talk about Christ’s love, but we are asked to show it to people in our communities everyday.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I have been a Christian my entire life. I was raised in the church and grew up knowing and believing in God. It wasn’t until I was an adult, going through a terribly painful and humbling period of life, that I started to understand grace- and that changed everything. Since then I discovered being a Christian is so much more than just a list of rules, but it is this evolving and changing relationship with a savior and creater who wants to know me.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have never served at a church outside of Hillsong, I have served in Next Steps for a few weeks, and volunteered at the Refugee party a few months back.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I gave birth to a healthy baby girl after being told that I may never carry children to full term.

I gained full guardianship of my nephew, who I now am raising as my son.

I met the love of my life. I never thought I would find a man who loved and cared for me the way I am cared for now.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My sister has struggled with a serious drug addiction for the past 10 years. I have had to search for her on the street, take her to detox, pick her up from rehab, and repeated the cycle over and over. All of these experiences have given me great compassion for people who are stuggling with addiction, and for the families who are affected by it as well.

6 years ago I had a miscarriage and then an extremely high risk pregnancy afterwards. The experience was absolutely devestating, but I am thankful for the story that it put in my heart to share with others.

I married my high school sweetheart, and was divorced 8 years later. It broke my heart and completely changed my life- but I believe that it made me a better person.
