S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Mark Tangry for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Teaching (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I can relate to people who are going through a difficult time and have compassion for what they are going through. Knowing that God brings us to our knees before he can re-build us.

#2 Gift, Giving (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am generous with the resources that God has given me and want to do more to further his work. I have tithed and provided printed graphics to help the church save money to further the work of the lord in promoting the church.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m not sure how evangelism got on this list. I feel that I have failed in my own family in getting my sons to turn towards Christ. I’m especially concerned about my grandchildren. My oldest son has not taken them to church or exposed them to the Bible.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love my family and love spending time with them. I am truly grateful for my wife and the second chance that god has given me / us. Every moment, even the bad ones remind me how truly blessed I am and how God loves me even in my ugliest moments.

2. I enjoy working with my sons and the other young people that work at our company. It is inspiring when they rise to the occasion and do something truly awesome and responsible. I enjoy building the business and having each one of them feel that they are a part of that.

3. I love taking care of and being responsible for others. While sometimes it is exhausting and not that rewarding, I know I am doing the right thing . Getting up the next day and picking yourself up and pushing forward is the strength that God provides to allow me to never give up.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I enjoy the elderly and the very young people the most. The elderly as I learn so much about life from them. The young people as they are so honest and see the world through Gods eyes, not being tainted by worldly things yet.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I don’t know where I plug in the best, but I am excited about what this church and it’s pastors are doing. The fact that there are so many young people so excited about Jesus really is inspiring in a world that is doing it’s best to brainwash our children from a very young age.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
