Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was baptized at 6 years old. Upon entering my teen years, I went my own way for a while. When my older brother (my best friend) went off to college, I fell into depression. When I was sitting in my room I read a Gospel track that someone had given me earlier that day. When I re-read the Gospel of salvation, it was shocking to me. I had been to church and Sunday school all my young life, but I never made it personal, like this track was presenting. I knew in the back of my mind I needed to give my life over to God one day, but I wanted to “have fun” first. At that moment, in my bedroom, I knelt and prayed and gave God my life. (Re-dedication) I was 15 years old.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I served as a co-founder and Minister of Music for a college campus ministry (that eventually turned into a local church) called Wildfire Ministries; on the campus of West Virginia State University in Institute, West Virginia. I served there between 1998-2001.

I served as an Associate Minister, Youth Minister, and Young Adult Minister at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (DC) between 2003-2015

I served as an Associate Minister and Youth Minister for Bethesda Baptist Church (DC) between 2015-2018.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Going to college and finishing both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees

Getting married (rather young) staying married and maintaining a healthy family.

Coming from a solid family background with such a supportive community.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Losing my job
