This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like helping others. It is something I know that I can do. I generally don’t have to figure out what needs to be done, because somebody already has done that (the overall big picture anyway). I like pleasing others.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I think Mercy should also be a part of this for me. I tend to think about the feelings of others and tend to make a point to go out of my way to engage somebody who I feel is being left out. I care about others and want them to feel loved and worthy.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I tend, although not completely, to not be too concerned about things. I know that what I have has been given to me by my Father (God), so I need to realize that everything is ultimately his. When I see others hurting, I have a tendency to want to help, although I don’t necessarily always follow through.

[H]eart

1. Spending time with my wife.

2. Helping others or meeting a need of someone else. This could be at work, or home, or possibly with friends or church. Also, accomplishing tasks that I feel need to be done.

3. Learning and understanding what Jesus has done for me, and knowing that He loves me and cares for me. I’m probably missing something in these 3 things.

Age would probably be anybody out of college or older. As for type of people, people that are easy to talk to, humble, and possibly somebody that just talking to them is an encouragement, but this is not always the case. I think type of people maybe would just be somebody that doesn’t seem prideful.

I think helping others and/or taking care of the building and other necessary church functions. I like interacting with the public or church body. I don’t have a strong pull toward anything specific. I want those that are unbelievers to feel welcome at our church and to come to know what Jesus has done for them and the love of true believers that understand their own sinfulness.

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

[E]xperience

I grew up in a Christian home where we went to church typically 2 to 3 times a week. I would see my Dad reading his Bible in the mornings and we would spend time in prayer before meals and when something important came up. As I grew up, I feel that I have always followed God. There is no one specific point when I feel that I became a Christian. I have sought to build my relationship with Christ throughout the years, sometimes feeling closer than others, but always desiring to follow him and having faith in God.

In College (VT), I served and helped out with a Bible Study with Campus Crusade for Christ.

After College, At Redeemer Presbyterian Church (while it was meeting in a school), I served on the set-up and take down of chairs, etc. I worked as part of the sound team setting up, taking down, and running the sound. Later, I also helped welcome people as they entered the church. I also served several times in the nursery or little kids classes.

Becoming a parent. I have a much greater appreciation for and acceptance of kids and parents with kids.

Getting Married.

Going to Turkey on a summer missions trip. I have a much greater appreciation for foreigners both here and in other countries.

Having had to deal with an addiction, that has let me to have compassion for and understand better those that deal with something like that.

Dealing with anxiety, has required that I rely more on God, and also has given me a compassion and better understanding for people that have similar issues.
