Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was not raised in a christian household but as a teenager I was asking a lot of questions about the purpose of life, who God is, etc. Friends invited me to Young Life. After going to youth group for a couple of years I was taken on my first date to a Jesus movie. I was given a pamphlet about Jesus Christ as savior. I came home , read the pamphlet and then just between God and myself I accepted the truth that I was a sinner and needed the saving grace of my Lord Jesus Christ

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have served probably about 25-30 years teaching Sunday school. Mostly preschool through 3rd grade. Rohnert Park Bible Church, Redwood Covenant Church and Bayside Covenant-Santa Rosa campus

I served as a children’s leader for 19 years in Bible Study Fellowship

I’ve been involved in church cleaning, choir and prayer ministry, decorating and set design for church projects

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

The wonderful teaching and training I’ve received through the years from Bible Study Fellowship

My parents exposed us to different cultures whenever they could.

I grew up being taught to appreciate the natural beauty of the world around me.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I was in a marriage with very little love

Most of the world never saw it but my sister and I were emotionally abused by our mother. We now understand that she herself was very hurt from her childhood and she was very unstable

My daughter married someone from a patriarchal society. I believe it was because of that that I was lied about pushed away for several years. We now have a good relationship but for a while I didn’t know if I would ever see here again and so I grieved at times as if she had died. It was very difficult.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I would have a home where people could come and find warmth, love, laughter and security

4. I would paint , draw, sing and teach others to do the same

5. All of my family would be believers, loving and working together
