My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I made a profession of faith in first grade at my Christian school after hearing a message in chapel about Hell. I doubted my salvation because I couldn’t remember if I was truly repentant and understood what Christ had done for me at that age. At a Christian camp several years later, my heart was convicted and I wanted to know for certain that my soul was secure. I accepted Christ as my Savior and have the peace of God in my heart!

Church I was raised in Bible Baptist Temple in GA. Age 4 the college years.
Various service- Choir, piano, visitation, children’s ministry

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Being raised by faithful, loving Christian parents and being able to have a Christian education have definitely shaped who I am today.

I have had many Christian leaders from high school through college that invested their time and life into mine. Their prayers and guidance helped me make important decisions at important times in my life.

God gave me an amazing husband that loves the Lord and loves his family which is a gift for which I am so thankful. With almost 16 married years together, he has loved, encouraged and strengthened me in so many ways that have impacted me.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I had a best friend in high school that ran off with a married man that was also a leader in our church. Although it was a difficult experience, God taught me much throught the situation that shaped my future and my relationship with Him.

My husband and I have had the joy of being a part of several great churches. As a married couple, we did experience a trying time in one church that left us feeling hurt and discouraged. God made it clear to us that it was time to leave. He led us to another church that was a great help to us where we were able to serve and continue to grow in our relationship with Him.

I’ve experienced 2 miscarriages. It was a very sorrowful experience that drew my husband and I closer to the Lord and to each other. From time to time, the Lord has allowed our story to encourage those that we know are walking through a similar trial of loss.
