Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love being able to do something that makes my husband’s stress a little less. His love language is acts of service and anytime I can take a task off his plate, it brings me joy.

2. I love to hear my children laughing and seeing them learning new things.

3. I love to see my clients have “ah ha” moments during session and realizing they have made these improvements.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work along side other women. In regards to who I want to help, I love working with children. At work, I work with 4-17 years old, however, my favorite to work with are 14-17 year olds.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I got angry with God at the age of 14. I did not stop believing, but I always said “we were not on speaking terms.” During those next 7 years, I was in an abusive relationship, became extremely depressed (from PTSD), and anorexic. When I was 21 and pregnant with Trystan, the ultrasound showed a myloplexis cyst on his brain. That was the first time I had prayed in 7 years. When we went back to the doctor, there was nothing there. I decided then I wanted my child to grow up in a church family. I found a church that I started going to and got involved in the women’s group with a group of women who ministered to me and became like second (and third and fourth, and fifth) mothers to me.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Fayetteville First Christian Church
Fayetteville, AR
Praise band – 6 years
Church board sub committee member – 1 year

Prairie Grove First Christian Church
Prairie Grove, AR
Upward Basketball Coach – 5 years
Vacation Bible School volunteer – 2 summers

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Becoming a mother

Finding a man who makes me feel like I am enough

Passing my counseling license.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being physically and mentally abused by an ex boyfriend in college

Being cheated on by my ex husband for the entire 10 years of our marriage. The first time I found out he had cheated was a month after our wedding, I found out he had been with an ex girlfriend the morning of our wedding. I caught him in lies involving this same girl 3 different times throughout our marriage, including when I finally left.

Losing my grandfather and not speaking to God for 7 years. Now looking back, I can see so many times where I may not have been speaking to him, but he was speaking to me everyday.
