Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I don’t remember a time when I didn’t believe in Jesus as Lord. However, it was in high school that I realized that, if I believed this was true, my life needed to show that. Throughout the years, there have been some very painful situations from not being sure of our twins would survive back in 2008 to having a mom who is very sick, to experiencing great grief in the churches we have called our homes previous to Crosspoint. God has always been the Rock in whom I can lean, and the depth in which I find my relationship with him has only grown as life goes on.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Kent City Baptist Church
Kent City, MI
4 years as youth group leader, 1 year as Women’s Bible Study Leader

Village EV Free Church
Dyer, IN
4 years as youth group leader, and I also led some Women’s Bible Studies, as well as taught in the children’s ministry

Westbrook Church
Hartland, WI
3 years in Youth ministry, Women’s Bible Studies, Small group leader

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Marrying Jake and joining him in life and ministry.

Having our 4 kids – they are close in age, and we went through a very trying time with our twins especially. 2008 has forever changed me

Graduating college and teaching – I love having an influence on kids and their families each day

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Losing friends/family to death, especially deaths that occur too young – I lost a few friends at different young ages, as well as some friends’ parents.

Understanding others who are caretakers/affected by mental health issues

Being a NICU mom

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those
