S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Melanie Metz for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like to be able work out the reason for something and then be able to explain it to others. I like to learn about all the various bits that tie everything together. The way that God has been at work, weaving His purpose through people and events throughout history. Seeing all the connections and helping others to see this as well. I have been a Chemistry and Science teacher for 14 years, so I am able to explain things in ways that are understandable.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am a people pleaser and like seeing people happy. I serve through worship leading and singing. Seeing people connect with God in those moments is special.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I think that giving and serving is tied together. Whilst I do give an offering to the church, I give my time and effort willingly.

1. Sing and praise God through worship
2. Play inline hockey with my family.
3. Teaching Chemistry
I am able to work with people of all ages. Though less with primary age kids. I do loke to talk with the older generation and hear their stories. Encourage them to tell their stories.
Wearing out volunteers concerns me. A lot in our church are involved in multiple ministries. The church growth excites me, new possibilities, new opportunities.

[E]xperience
I grew up in the Uniting Church at Murray Town. I was very lucky to be involved in ministry from a young age and encouraged by our church family. I was involved in Kid’s Camp Out, The Girl’s Brigade, youth groups etc. However, it wasn’t until I was about 13-14 at a Beach Mission that I gave my life to Christ. I actually didn’t know I had to, I figured I had always been a Christian! My faith waned in my late teens, but in my early 20’s a friend invited me to her church and I became involved in a Young Adults group and my faith reignited and has been burning ever since.
2006 – 2016 Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bacchus Marsh, VIC – Worship leader/Youth group leader
2002 – 2006 St Alban’s Anglican Church, Kooringal, NSW – Singing
Growing up surrounded by some great mentors at Murray Town Uniting Church.
Supportive ministers and friends in my 20 and 30’s.
The love of my husband and the birth of my 3 sons
The divorce of my parents when I was in my mid 20’s
Having to sell our home due to financial strain.
Being bullied as a child and growing up not being in the “in” crowd in the community. i.e. wrong last name.
