S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Michelle Fariss for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

I am a nerd! And I like sharing knowledge, and talking out application. (But only in small groups)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Don’t know about this one. I do like to talk with my unsaved friends/coworkers in open dialogue about spiritual matters; though, it’s always flowed out of relationship stuff.

I’m going to interpret this question as interpersonal asset, in which case, it’s listening to and hopefully diffusing upset/emotionally explosive people.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
First trusted Christ with a childlike faith as a child. Was grounded in the Bible growing up as a PK. Dealt with some depression and questioned that faith in middle school/early high school. Ascertained that God is not just a feeling, but the only logically explanation for humankind. Continue to grow toward better walking the walk since.
Before Trinity, 180 in Savannah, GA. 2008-2004. But that was more attendance than ministry in college. No position held.
Penelope Baptist Church. Member. 2004-2000ish. Hickory, NC.
Ash Avenue Baptist Church. Member? 2000ish-1996? South Boston, VA.
College at SCAD. Four years of my group of friends living in each others’ pockets and learning together, and having the sort of unity of purpose I envision for the church.
Being friends with Ritchie and Verbiest, two of my high school teachers. Learning church history and art history and how to have healthy, respectful debates.
My Dad. Four star review for parenting, as well as adult relationship. Would recommend.
The drama between my mom and me before I moved out the second time. So much unnecessary drama and associated mental health stuff.
Being on food stamps for a while after I lost my job at JoAnn Fabrics, and having the food pantry and parents fill the gap.
Being a cutter. No star review. Would not recommend. But it put in perspective the utter depravity of the human spirit without God.
