S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Michael Gozdiff for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
By nature, I’m very willing to give time and resource to those who are in need and want. On the negative side, there is little tolerance for those who are frauds and scam or “work the system” as their way of getting through life on the backs of others.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am by nature (again) one who is content to do the menial work others might feel is beneath their talents or ambition – more of a “hands-on doer”, than an organizer or leader. There is a reticence to ask someone else to do anything, or to delegate. I have been in leadership positions when the situation required and was placed there, but have not been comfortable doing that. Would rather be the “helper” for someone who wants to be the leader.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am willing to share my experience, knowledge and opinions with those who are interested, but am not one who pushes anything on to those who are not interested . Many years ago, I was asked to lead a home Bible study, and did so reluctantly. Reason was the requestors were contemporary friends who were already Born Again Christians, while I was not yet at that time. It seemed inappropriate. They persisted, I relented and during this period, I came to Christ through teaching the class. I view this as a one time situation to render a change in me, since there was little taught that the class did not already know. However, at 79, I’ve seen, heard and learned a lot of things that could be useful to some. In my younger years, many of my friends and acquaintances were 10 to 50 years my senior, and their stories and experiences were very enjoyable.
[H]eart
1. Conversing with my Heavenly Father. Thanking Him for His being, all who He is and for all that He has done, is doing and shall do in the future.
2. Providing assistance for those in genuine need, particularly those whom I know, are struggling and are looking for a friend.
3. Fellowship with my Lord’s saints. While my wife Ann was still with me, her fellowship was most enjoyable and I considered tending to her care to be an honor and privilege. Her recent passing has created a huge void that is gradually being partially filled with paying more attention to our Lord and to his saints.
Most enjoyable are those who are eager to learn and want to accomplish something worthwhile, no matter what the age. I am comfortable with the older folks who need to share their thoughts and experiences.
Sound Bible-based Christian doctrine is the number one issue of importance. Experience with false doctrines and heresies have made me sensitive to this.

Farm labor; Technician in a medical examiner’s office; Laboratory chemist; Rubber compounder/formulator; Rubber/elastomer customer technical service representative.
I do not consider myself to have any special talent or skills, other than a stubbornness to accomplish whatever task is placed before me.
Taught a Bible class 45+ years ago & work-related technical and tech service seminars.
Intellectual honesty, and with it a willingness to change when new information and facts warrant a change.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
Having been reared in a “non-Western European evangelical Christian” culture, the emphasis was more on corporate salvation, Church attendance and basic Christian Trinity theology was the norm. However it was not until I was married to a born-again Christian and afterwards (1970 – 1971) was coerced into leading a Bible Study, that I answered the call to accept our Lord Jesus as my personal Savior. It wasn’t until 2007 that I was Baptized – a long & uninteresting story why the delay.
New Romanoffsky Church, Los Angeles, California. Church Treasurer, 1965 – 1971.
Finding a small pocket Bible on a sidewalk, at the age of 9, and reading it from Genesis through Revelation.
Marrying my wife Ann, who was a born again Christian.
Being transferred by Goodyear to Ohio.
As the sole grandson on my mother’s side of the family, I was used as a pawn, & at the age of 7 was blamed for a break up in the family business. The negative fall out lasted until 1995, when what occurred was revealed to me.
As a late teenager, my dad gave me one of many dangerous farm jobs. When things went awry and I was in serious danger of death, I afterwards asked why I was always the one put at risk. His answer was, “You’re expendable, I’m not. I can always have another son, but I’m the only father you’ll ever have”. This placed our Lord Jesus’ sacrifice into a whole new light and with a new meaning.
The transfer from Los Angeles to Northeast Ohio uprooted our family from a comfortable world we knew and placed us into a cultural and spiritual unknown. We left all of our families to be here alone.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Have learned the hard way to not get ahead of the Lord & do things without direction from the Lord.
4. Not to be obstinate nor redundant, but I’ve prayed for direction and am waiting on the Lord’s answer.
5. Again, I’m waiting on the Lord. Probably not the answers you’re wanting nor looking for.
