This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:

It is a simple and easy way of showing God’s love, and helping others helps me practically put into effect what Jesus asks us to do.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Learning new things and combining that with existing knowledge or ideas to gain a deeper understanding of the world and to make better sense of it. Whether personal reading and research or conversations with people I love and respect

2. Creative things such as reading, listening to music, or playing games that spark my imagination about the world and change the way I think about the world.

3. Sharing things I’m passionate about with others and having them experience the passion I already have for it.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I enjoy working with people my own age, people who are like me and think deeply about the world. I have also really enjoyed working with high school aged students in the past

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I love seeing people understand the story of the Bible and how that story is continuing to the present day.
I worry about the way the church seems distracted, by making sure that teaching is perfect at the expense of those outside the church and the desire for political power to bring about the kingdom of God. But I am excited to see people in my life that serve God and Love people in extremely practical ways.
I have really enjoyed camp ministry in the past, and the way we are able to show love for kids for even just a week and to give them a really fun time.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up to parents who strongly loved Jesus, and grew up going to church all my life. Through programs at the church and going to Bible college afterward I learned about the bible and was given a solid foundation of what it means to follow Jesus. While at university, I met others who saw the world a lot differently than me, which challenged me in some ways but helped my grow. I also learned more about politics, way the world worked, and different theological issues which I had held close before but then questioned about how true they needed to be. This questioning has allowed me to see a clearer picture of who Jesus is, but has also led to lots of uncomfortableness and a feeling of lost that I am still working through right now.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Dallas Valley Ranch Camp, worked there for 8 or 9 years as a camp counsellor, program director, and climbing wall staff

I have volunteered at Living Hope in a number of capacities, such as leading worship, Wednesday night kids programs, VBS, work bee days.

Ran Bible quizzing at living hope, Regular Monday night practices and taking kids out for the weekend to compete with others. Hosted a quiz meet with 400 people at Living Hope

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Going to Bible College and learning how much is in the Bible and the joy that comes from reading and studying it.

Joining IVCF in university and interacting with people who see the bible and christianity much differently than me and challenging me to grow in my leadership and evangelistic abilities

There have been a number of people who I have seen serve God tirelessly and anonymously in the church or in other ministries. They have shown me that the bible is lived out in small ways every day of showing simple love to people in the church and outside of it

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Living by myself for a year in between bible school and University and feeling like I didn’t belong in the church, or in any social group and feeling isolated from experiences of God I have had in the past

Finding people and media outside of the views growing up and having to wrestle with what the christianity I grew with was and how that differed from the Jesus that is in the Bible

I have never felt super connected to the people around me and have kind felt like a third wheel in many of the relationships I’ve been in
