S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Mikayla Fisher for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This one makes sense to me. I think one of the major things I learned abroad was to serve where there is a need not necessarily where I want to serve. It’s definitely an on-going learning experience but it takes all kinds of different tasks to accomplish something bigger in ministry.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This one surprised me that it came in second. When I think about it I do talk to pretty much anybody who wants to talk and most of the time it does end up being something Jesus related but I think I can improve communicating biblical truths in a way they can hear me.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Generally I do give. It may not always be money but other material needs that people may have.

1. One of the things I love to do is animation and graphic design. Over the past few years I realized that it makes a difference of why I am creating something. If it doesn’t have an impact on people then sometimes I think what’s the point of doing that project.
2. In this season in life I enjoy hanging out with the youth. Generally I like to hang out with smaller groups of people.
3. I love to hang out in coffee shops more so for the atmosphere and to potentially talk to someone.
I enjoy working with the youth right now. The ones I talk to most happen to be artist. The other group of people I tend to work/talk to are probably consider outsiders. I think I can relate to them most of the time.
Ministries that excite me are outreach and media. The issues that concern me the most right now is leadership and where are focus is as a whole.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I grew up going to church on Sundays and learning the Sunday School answers, but never having a personal relationship with Christ. I was in a state of going through the Christian motions of doing what was ethically right, but always feeling inadequate and sensing something was missing. When I went to college I knew that I needed Christian fellowship. Through the course of my freshman year God graciously provided me a Christian roommate, and I was able to join an on-campus ministry called Revive. It was here where I became friends with the people involved, where they were faithful in presenting the Gospel to me, and answered all my questions I had concerning the Bible.
I have had several ministry opportunities both on my college campus and through my church. I was able to lead a group of girls at Park University in a Bible Study going through James and Acts.
Many short-term trips in Ireland working with the youth. In Montenegro handing out bibles and in Spain as an intern working with media.
Currently with my fellowships youth bible study and Wednesday nights.
I think each short-term trip in the big picture was a positive experience. In Ireland it was about how it’s a process and also to meet people where they are.
When I moved to college I made some new christian friends that are still apart of my life today. They encouraged me and discipled me throughout the years.
When I tore my ACL in high-school I was devastated because soccer was my identity. Looking back I can see how it actually made me a better soccer player but more than that it made my identity shift from soccer to Christ. Now I can also understand other athletes and the struggle they may go through during injury’s.
At times I would struggle with some of the expectations I had before I got there. I think some of my preconceived expectations that I had was that I would get to help with more graphic design and animations needs. I think my lowest point of the summer was when I was in charge of making the sandwiches for lunch instead of helping with the video shoot. It wasn’t the fact that I was in charge of lunch but more so the guilt I felt about wanting to do something I thought would be more significant. My life lesson here is to serve where there is a need.
Another negative life experience was when I told a couple people at my former church that I was going to be a missionary graphic designer helping nationals plant churches and start up a business that helps them have a self sustaining church. When the church is self-sustain they don’t have to be dependent on an outside source in a different country for income, they become able to be dependent on the Lord. When I was telling my fellow believers they seemed to dismiss this type of ministry and also told me how unqualified they thought I was to be a missionary in general. This was very painful and challenging for me. I wanted their approval but at the same time I had to ask the Lord what to do. There were several things I learned from this experience. I had to ask myself if my heart was in the right place. Was I just hurt because of what they said or was it true? Was this enough to make me reconsider becoming a missionary? Or was this a time when the style of mission was too different from man’s tradition.
