S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Mike Beale for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:

#3 Gift, Teaching (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’ve only been invollved with the Church since April 4, 2021. My knowledge of The Bible and The Church grows every day, At some point I will be at a level that I feel gives me the confidence to “teach.” I’m not quite there but I am gaining on it every day.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I trully love being outdoors. Especially hunting, fishing, hiking or even cutting firewood. I feel closer to God outdoors but I’m not sure why. Maybe the peace and quiet with no distractions is the key. Or is it the solitude? I do not know, nor do I care why. I just love that it is.

2. I love being with Kaaren, my wife of 50 years. No one else would have tolerated me for that long. I absolutely believe she was sent to me by God.

3. Being with my Brothers in Christ every Friday. I did not know this “Brotherhood” existed until 2 years ago. The best thing in my life was finding StoneWater Church. They are a such strong support for me personally, I kow I can go to any of them at anytime with any problem and they will have the answer. They are trully amazing in their support.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Since my wife and I had no children, I am somewhat uncomfortable dealing with that age. Young adults in college or having graduated from college I can relate to. I have no issue working with them.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I’m still working on and thinking about this. My continued attendance of PTS is helping but currently I’m not sure

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

During the 2016 presidential election it became obvious that there were sinister forces at work trying to destroy the United States as we know it. I was also quite obvious the forces at work were Satanic in nature. My wife and I atteneded StoneWater Church for the first time on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. It has absolutely changed our lives forever. If you had told me 3 years ago that I would be attending church every week, praying every day, serving on the Church Critical Response Group, welcoming Church attendees every Sunday and meeting with a group of like-minded “old men” every Friday, I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU, YOU ARE NUTS!! StoneWater Church and this group of “old men” have absolutely changed our lives forever! We now walk with God and it is the best thing in our lives.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):
