#1 Gift, Teaching (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Though I do not have any formal biblical training. I know what I know, and I think I have good skills in explaining topics or ideas around real truths in ways that others may not see.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I could be wrong but to be honest I don’t think that I am an evangelist. though I have no problems sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to anyone who has ears, I find that I show Christ trough how I act as a Christian instead of talking to strangers about Jesus,. I do have some “pet peeves” around evangelism that I would never do, like using hell as a fear tactic to get people saved, or just yelling on a street corner and calling everyone sinners.

#3 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I don’t know about “Pastoring” per say, but I find great joy in Shepherding those who are lost and seeking answers questions about God and Christianity (mainly around apologetics). Above all else, I have seen that I have a good Shepard over me and I want to emulate Him.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Serving the Lord through my works using giftings the Lord has given me. I want be faithful with what the Lord entrust me with, and I want to continually grow his investment whatever that may be. Seeing those things grow brings me a lot of fulfillment.

2. I have been playing guitar I find devotional worship and writing songs a fulfilling use of my time with the Lord.

3. I seek for truth and spend a lot of time looking for it and its basically a hobby at this point. I have been lied to many times at my old church before I left, I have spent a lot of time looking for real truth based on the word of god and when I hit a nugget of truth it is very rewarding.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Smart men my age (mid 30s) and wise men that are older.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I have many issues with hyper charismatic churches that greatly concern me. Though maybe 80% of their message is good the other %20 is evil and I have witnessed many hurt and even some who fully walked away from their faith, which tears me up inside.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in a Christian home and I’m not exactly sure when I got saved (I prayed the sinners prayer more times than I remember) but when I was about 14 or 15 I started read my bible wanting to understand and do the things that where in it, instead of doing my own will and walk in sin, slowly over time I began to see how good it is to live a life for the Lord as I was designed to do and I haven’t looked back. When I got older I attend International House of Prayer for many years and witnessed a lot of “strange” things there. After I matured in my faith more I start to notice false teachings and really bad fruits and left the church to learn about things in scripture that where never taught to me.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

International House of Prayer, Kansas City MO, Web Programmer for the Marketing department, 2013-2014
*PS: I don’t personally consider International House of Prayer a ministry anymore

International House of Prayer, Kansas City MO, Intern / Music Student (“bible” school and odd jobs like cleaning bathrooms) , 2007-2009

Iron Sharpens Iron, Online, Web Master, 2005-2007
This was a online “gaming” outreach I found when I was younger, it provided a safe place for people to play online games with other Christians. I started to volunteer to help maintain their website and forum and ended up being the main Web Master and learning a lot.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Hard work pays off, I have had to take on a few impossible tasks trough out life and put my trust in the Lord to see it trough. He comes through and things like that grows my faith!

I have found the questioning (with humility) is important. Matthew 7:7’s “seek and you will find” is true, and brings so many good positive things.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Prideful words and/or actions suck, I have done it and I have received it and it is so easy to do. I have found a lot of compassion for others with pride issues because I have found the pride blinds people’s understanding of many things and it hurts them more than anything else.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I started a Christian Company with about 35 employees now, my heart is serve them well as their employer. (Luke 12:48)

4. Maybe this is a copout, but I want to get connected to a church. I’m a part of the “global” Body of Christ but not the “local” body.

5. Mission Trip(s)
