S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Michael Harrison Sr for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I remain a faithful: Teacher, Preacher, and Reacher for the Honor and Glory of God Himself!
I have been teaching the Bible as God’s “Wholly-Holy” Word for fifty-six (56) years and have seen the Word of God change lives, open doors for ministry, and bring honor and glory to God no matter the circumstances. It will “never return void” nor fail to deliver “truth in love”! God’s Word is not dependent on us, but we are certainly dependent on it.
Guided and guarded by the Spirit of God, the Word brings “light” to those who are “blinded by darkness”, “love” to those who are “unlovely and unloved”, and “life” to those who are “lifeless in their unbelief”.
I cherish and trust God and His Word, and revere both it and “The Living Word”, Jesus my Lord and Savior, “Only Begotten Son of God”! Selah Psalm 119!
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I remain a Reacher, Preacher, and Teacher for the glory of God; by the grace of God; for the good of ALL: “Because He gave His ALL, that ALL might be delivered from the sin of unbelief that ALL were/are condemned by (including me).
Romans 3:23; 6:23; John 3:15-18
Since God First freely loved me, then I must freely love Him with my ALL, and love ALL He loves!
1 John 3-4; Romans 11:36-12:2. Selah
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I Remain a Preacher (Proclaimer); Teacher; and Reacher for God, “a Servant that need not to be ashamed of the gospel of Christ…”. Rightly dividing the Word of Truth is the ministry of the Spirit of God to ALL believers/Christ-Followers. Our role/obligation/ministry is to deliver “that rightly divided Word of Truth” – “IN LOVE, in love”!
God has surely given us ALL, the “MINISTRY of RECONCILIATION” to ALL”!
“Be you reconciled (one to one another) is not a wish, it is indeed, “our comission of mercy”!
Whether, Reaching, Teaching, or Preaching, we must do ALL in word and deed, to the glory of God, with ALL Diligence and Discipline, preferring one another.
“Passion with compassion” is our “First and Foremost CALLING”!
Your Sernant, in Humility;
His Service, in Honor,
Michael C “Collie” Harrison, Sr

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
After the death of two of my spiritual mentors within two days of each other at my grandparents farmhouse (my grandmother’s blind brother and my grandmother, I listened as a local pastor
visited our home and led my parents to the Lord. The next summer, I was saved during a local VBS. My younger sister followed in her own conversion a few months later and we were baptized together subsequently. My great uncle played a great role in teaching me about God and the gospel, along with my SS teacher. My grandparents were faithful Christians who filled my life with love, prayers, and the Bible. My mom (although she was not saved at the time) read Bible stories right before we took our naps every day. All these factors make up my, “Journey to Jesus”. That
great uncle (William) was blind from the age of two, yet he went on to become a respected preacher, guitarist, and singer in his church, and became a “sought out
carpenter” (fixing wagon wheels, and making all kinds of furniture – one nailess rocking chair he made about 1948, I have in our bedroom today, with the original rawhide seat still in tact)!
He taught me how to rely on God everywhere, every moment for everything, and “obstacles are just opportunities” for growth and investment in the Lord!!!
Pastoring/Ministry-Preaching, Church-Planting; Music Director/Youth Minister; Deacon; Jail and Prison preaching/music; Sunday School/Special Adult Groups Teacher (began teaching at age 16); Chaplain for Salvation Army.
Places include: Two churches in Moss Bluff, Louisiana; Orange, TX; Multiple churches in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Three churches-DeQueen, AR. Now at: Clingan Ridge Baptist Church Cleveland, TN.
Also, served at: Accelerated Christian Education- Garland-Lewisville, TX (16 years). My wife and I maintained an ongoing “hospital ministry” to physicians and staff in hospitals and rehab centers in the Dallas area for about twelve years (1995-2006) at which time I was hospitalized for over fifty times. During the 10 1/2 years I was confined to a wheelchair, God gave numerous opportunities to teach, preach, and reach out souls in revival and other venues (including nursing facilities).
1A. Being able to live with my grandparents during early years of my life and completing that experience when my grandfather came to live with us in his later years of life (he passed in 1965).
1B. Seeing my parents and all three of my siblings saved.
2A. Marrying my wife in 1967 (we met in Bible College -1965) and fostering a Christian home together for now, 52 years in August, 2019!
2C. Being healed of effects of 7 heart attacks and multiple strokes (was in a wheelchair for 10 1/2 years). During my sleep on a short night, laying in my hospital bed in pain, I went to sleep for a couple of hours only to be awakened with NO PAIN – (after 47 years): I immediately placed my feet on the floor and have been walking for almost 12 years)! The miracle was God’s answer to His preparing me for “new ministry that required walking”!!!
1. Having three children together, and seeing them establish Christian homes; and all our grandchildren receiving Christ as their Savior. First great grand-son is due on our anniversary, Aug 5th!
The loss of our second grandson almost 24 years ago.
The loss of my grandmother and her brother on the same spot (at the water pump) at the end of my grandparent’s farmhouse porch, two days apart! I was almost 10.
Realizing as a 15 year old, that I did not know who my natural father was, while visiting a grave site. After 33 years of praying for him, not knowing if he was saved, his identity was disclosed by God graciously revealing his name when I was 48 years of age. He had passed the year prior. I found his brother and one of my half-siblings and they assured me he was a Christian.
