S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Michelle Nellis-Kinney for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I HAVE A DESIRE TO SHOW THE HURTING THAT CHRIST LOVES THEM SO MUCH AND NEVER INTENDED FOR THEM TO STRUGGLE ALONE
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
GOD HAS GIVEN ME SO MUCH MERCY AND GRACE I FELT FOR SO LONG THAT I HAD TO EARN MY WAY INTO HEAVEN AND THAT ONE MISTAKE WOULD CONDEMN ME IF I HAPPENED TO DIE BEFORE MAKING IT RIGHT. I WAS SCARED OF GOD AND SAW HIM AS JUDGEMENT WITHOUT LOVE. I KNOW NOW THAT GOD LOVES ALL OF US, HE HAS GREAT PLANS FOR US AND HE WANTS TO FELLOWSHIP WITH US. I DON’T EVER WANT OTHERS TO FEEL THE WAY I DID. I WANT THEM TO SEE MERCY, GOD’S MERCY.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I ENJOY SHARING WHAT I HAVE LEARNED AND EXPERIENCED. IT IS CHALLENGING AND REWARDING
[H]eart
1. Being an active wife, parent, and grandparent. Spending time and resources to make lasting memories in our family. Keeping God first and sharing experiences that bring glory to God.
2. Sharing Christ’s love with the hurting through Celebrate Recovery. Challenging the thinking patterns of women who don’t believe they are “good enough”.
3. Spending quiet time in my garden to pray and meditate while planting, tending, and cultivating. Giving fresh produce to those who want them and feeling good about growing good food for the family….and friends.
Hurting women, the addict who is ready to change, babies and toddlers, and women who are willing and able to share their knowledge and experiences so I may learn disciplines and skills needed to fulfill the purpose of God, in my life.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
My aunt invited our family to church when I was twelve. I gave my life to Christ on my knees, kneeling at the altar of a small little church in my home town.
Celebrate Recovery, 1Mosaic, 3 years.. Bethany Assembly, 3 years… Tecumseh CR, 4 years
Music Director, Missionary Baptist Church, Tecumseh, MI 8-9 years
Graduated from Lansing Christian School and Mt. Hope Bible Training Institute (college). This gave me a great foundation and spring board in to adulthood
Meeting my husband. God took two crazy, messed up people and showed us that He can do anything! He has placed us in ministry together and I love it!
I was able to go on a mission trip to the Netherlands the summer of my junior year of high school. This experience expended my world and the way I saw God’s work around the world. It made me more compassionate of those who may be different than what I expected.
Abuse as a child, not feeling wanted, needed, or normal in my childhood.
My rebellion. The time in my life when I turned from my relationship with Christ, started hanging out with the wrong people, doing the wrong things
Car accident followed by years of surgeries, pain, procedures, and paralysis. Struggling with the feeling that my life may never be “normal” again. I may not be able to meet the expectations of others or myself. Learning to walk again, feeling so helpless, and still learning God’s plan for me now and pursuing Him through the tough times.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Open and run a Christian drug recovery home in our local community for women.
4. Reach and teach those in our community how to overcome major obstacles in their lives and point them to Christ
5. Travel with my husband sharing our life story. How God rescued us and saved us from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
