#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have great conviction that I am to serve others. Jesus didn’t come to serve those who already were saved/had faith he communed with the “sinners” by establishing a relationship first. I believe Gods Love and the promise of salvation is best communicated by following Jesus’ example of meeting the broken/ hurting where they are and forming a relationship starting right where the hurting/ broken are in their journey.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe it is imperative to let everyone know that Gods love is unconditional and not based on ones goodness but because God made each of us with a special purpose. Each with our own unique gifts/abilities. God uses our brokenness to show us how much He loves us and then to show others how much He loves others.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Once I have a relationship with others, I believe it is important to express the truth of God’s love to others and the message of salvation through faith.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in a church attending family all of my life. I was taught that attending church was important and being involved in church activities was important. What I saw around me wasn’t really what I heard about Jesus doing. I experienced judgement and the people around me behaved as though the outward appearance of obedience to Gods word was the most important. Even in my marriage, where I experienced abuse the focus was on attending church and giving to the church but not on the relationship,we personally had with God or how our relationship reflected Gods love for us or our children. I had to hide the pain of the abusiveness of my husband out of fear of retribution as the most important thing was to be “perfect” on the outside. After I separated from my husband following years of abuse, I realized the truth of the importance of my relationship with God as well as the importance of accepting Gods unconditional love for me even in my brokenness.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Healing from a broken arm/ frozen shoulder when I was told it would never happen

Living in an abusive relationship

Losing my grandfather through a devastating medical mistake

Suddenly becoming physically disabled and unable to support myself or my children while going through divorce yet having 2 degrees: BA and a BSN.
