Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I grew up in a christian home, but I never cared for anything spiritual. I always felt isolated from everyone while I grew up, and though I still believed God exists, I didn’t think my life had any significant meaning. I got to see the love of God in the way the people in my church love, and I wanted to have that same joy. After a long period of wrestling with my pride, God broke me down and showed me how much I need him. After I graduated high school, I finally accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior.
I helped out in my church cafe by setting up and cleaning for a few months, the church I served in is Calvary Chapel of El Paso in El Paso, TX.
I helped out during a VBS at Calvary Chapel of El Paso, I was the ‘games leader’ and I would be in charge of some voluteers and I would set up game for the children there.
When I first entered my campuses Baptist Student Ministry, I got to meet a lot of believers who had a strong passion for God, and that really encouraged me to continue to set God as my highest priority in life.
The first time I went on a mission trip, I got to see God working on peoples hearts. And I was constantly challenged to step out of my comfort zone to reach out to people.
One time I got to see my friend from church get baptized. Although I didn’t have a huge impact on his salvation, this really encouraged me in that God still uses what little we do to make a big impact on someone.
During my freshmen year of college, I failed two classes in one semester because I overloaded myself. It help me realize how stressful college is and how so many other students are constantly pressure in school.
When I was a sophomore in high school, I didn’t have many friends and I would constantly feel isolated from everyone. Since then, I try to be as inviting and friendly as I can be, so that no one feels left out like I was.
For most of my childhood, I was spiritually lazy and apathetic, and this caused me to be a little hostile to some people at my church. I now realize how much I have hurt other people and myself, and I would like for everyone to understand the importance of a spiritual life.
