S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Julie Davis for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am an optimist who believes that we can always find something positive if we look closely enough. We are blessed beyond measure and have God who gives us grace.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have had God’s favor in my vocation. I work hard and get rewarded. I have had many promotions and with that came increase in pay. I like to share with others and give back what I have been blessed to manage for God.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’ve no trouble speaking with my family or small group about God and my belief. I am not comfortable with speaking the word of God to larger audiences or crowds or to those I don’t know well. I can be a witness but I feel like I have a lot more to learn before I could publicly preach.
[H]eart
1. Spending time with my husband and family and also watching my children grow into beautifully made adults.
2. Singing and listening to Christian music- I do not have a voice of an angel but I continue to practice in hopes that one day in heaven i can sing day and night to our Creator.
3. Managing my household by being organized, prepared for all celebrations, keeping it clean and stress free.
What I am finding with serving in the kitchen at KoK is the fellowship with these wonderful people. Sharing time, laughter and getting to know them.
I also love to work with children who are between the ages of birth to 12. Their innocence and curiosity are heart-warming.
The things that excite me the most is the weekly feeding of the sermons. The pastors ability to use relational context to the bible and our lives today keep me engaged and interested. This is a way to take what we’ve discussed into each week and add to my personal growth.
I love that (because we all have problems) i can feel a vulnerability while in the presence of God and our fellow church to cry, laugh, pray and fall to my knees. My openness and closeness to the holy spirit thrives during worship.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
My family did not attend church regularly as I was growing up but we did attend different churches throughout my life. As I moved into my adulthood and having children it still was sporadic to attend church. I was remarried 10 years ago and we started to go to church and I was baptized. I’ve always believed in Jesus and the word of God but it hasn’t been until this last year that I was moved to get closer and more intimate with Jesus.
N/A
Joining a small group has been a life-changing experience for my husband and me. To have a trust and closeness with our group is invaluable.
Giving up alcohol.
Marrying my soul-mate. The one that God intended me to be with for spiritual growth, personal growth and unconditional love from my new-extended family.
Alcoholism- I understand the desire to have a drink. I also know the detrimental effects it takes on each individual and family unit.
Believing that I could do things on my own without the help of Jesus. Stressing over everything out of my control.
Unhealthy relationships with people I thought were my friends and not realizing until my late 30’s that I didn’t have to tolerate or allow it any longer.
