May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I was saved at an early age. Even as a child, I felt God’s call on my life. My first answer when asked what I wanted to be was “missionary.” I prayed and waited for God to call me to the missions field, but instead He called me to be a teacher-a secondary English teacher. Once I began teaching, I found my mission field. Then, God gave me the gift of music. I was very shy and never saw myself as speaking or singing in front of many people, but God had other ideas. I have been blessed to have had capable and loving mentors, including my mother, who taught me to “give of my best to the Master.”

Attending an International Youth Convention in San Diego, CA when I was a freshman in high school, I experienced the sanctification of God in my life
Being asked to serve on the Advisory Council of our church as a member-at-large when I was only 21 years old. It forever impressed upon me the importance of leadership in the church.
Being asked to pray for shut-ins my elementary Sunday school class visited. I realized that I could pray “outloud” in front of others without fear. I felt something change in me when we visited the Brittons, a faithful, godly couple in our church. Prayer became a natural way of caring for others for me. Talking to God on behalf of others is the greatest privilege I have as a Christian.
My divorce.
Being a child of an alcoholic
suffering from bipolar depression
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. I would rehab an old Victorian mansion and make it a safe place for kids who have been thrown out of their homes because of domestic problems. I would offer them a clean bed, 3 meals a day, career counseling, tutoring, group counseling, health resources. I would concentrate on developing their coping skills to help them move forward in their lives.
4. I would move to Appalachia and build a settlement school much like the settlement school my uncle attended in Hindman KY. It was a school where children boarded and worked for their keep learning life skills while being educated in core curriculum.
5. I would find a building to refurbish and make it into a place for elderly people who have no family to care for them or help them. I would have health specialists on hand, insurance specialists, activity specialists-whatever it took for those people to be able to have the best quality of life possible until the Lord called them home. I would also involve young people in the effort and make it multi-generational. I would want to help stroke and dementia patients who have no one to advocate for them and concentrate on their spiritual needs.
