S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Monica Murrell for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Administration has always been something I do. I’m a business major, I have an MBA, I have always been good with computers, softwares, typing, presentations, teaching, planning, etc. No shock I would score high in administration. I have done that for most of my life and have been successful in doing so.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Encouraging others is all I know and believe in. I do not believe in putting others down, looking down on people, judging people because I truly believe if it wasn’t for my parents, the people God placed in my life, the choices I made, I could be in the same boat. Plus, my career took me from corporate America dreams to working for the city and state helping families with low income through social work and now through housing. I have seen people at their worse, no where else to turn, and it gave me great joy to be able to encourage, show Gods love and kindness to those that truly needed someone to show them that someone cared.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Shocked that this would be one of my top spiritual gifts, but I know in my heart why. I think I shy away from it because I can get in serious debate about something I believe in, so I shy away because I don’t like being rubbed the wrong way or someone say something negative about my God I love so much. It’s like someone saying something bad about your momma, you like wait a minute. Well in my life I have tried evangelism and it hurt my heart with some of the views I would hear people say about my God. I think it is something I definitely do when people are more receptive of course I share my good news, but when challenged it bothers me to my core. Something I have to work on, but a weakness for sure.

1. I love the arts (music, singing, dancing, writing poetry). Music puts me in such a good mood (I love all kings from classical to hip hop). It brings joy to my spirit. I took professional dance from age 5-12, then joined dance groups all through high school. Then I went over seas and traveled all over the world singing and dancing for the United States Military in my early twenties doing DOD and USO tours. I then got married and settled down, so I started praise dancing, and did that for years and later became the VP, then later the President at my old church. I love to choreograph dances, and so dancing is huge for me. singing is something I can do and love, but it is not my strongest gift. and poetry is something I have done since I was 10 that gave me insight into myself and others. I have performed my poetry in various venues in Nashville.
2. I love community service and supporting national causes. I have but together toy drives and got the dollar store to donate toys, which was a huge success in Nashville. I have been the team lead for years with the Making Strides for Breast Cancer campaign, so I love getting people together to go out and do something positive and something for someone other than yourself!!!! I love to help others.
3. I just love to be of service. I love to serve. I don’t have to be in the front, I am perfectly fine with being a cheerleader, supporter, administration, etc. I just personally want to be a part of something great! I want to work with people who truly lets God run the show not them.
Adults, Young and or my peers.
I’m new, so no concerns at this time. I’m being prayful about where God wants me. Yes I can praise dance, join the choir, etc, but I truly seek to grow and want God to use me.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I joined at the age of 8. I just knew I loved Jesus and I wanted to be a Christian. But at age 25, I started to go to church heavily, studying his word, in Sunday school, bible study and ministry and I fell in love and from there nothing can convince me that my God is not real.
Member of Westwood Baptist (Nashville, TN) 2001 – to current.
Youth bible study 4-18, ex husband and I taught class 2004-2005.
married couples ministry 2002-2007.
Praise Dance ministry 2001 – not sure when I stopped was VP and President for 3 years.
Had 2nd child in 2010, too much home responsibilities had to let ministry go.
Now I am in a better position to serve
Single Ministry before I got married, Westwood 2000-2002.
Parents-They make me who I am because they believe and support me in every aspect of my life. I am so blessed to have two wonderful parents
Friends – don’t use this word lightly, I only have a few and the ones I have are my family now. The love and support I get from them is irreplaceable…
Life- Could tell you a million stories of how life tried to kick me down, but God, so I’m thankful for the ups and downs because it shows me in all those moments how God was the only constant I had.
Divorce: Hardest journey ever because I didn’t come from that or believe in it. I had to forgive myself, and my ex husband and learn to live again as a single woman after being married for 10 years. I struggled financially, I struggle emotionally and my kids suffered, but I am better from it, I have grown spiritually from it, and therefore, I can show compassion to other women who are going through and be encouraging to them.
Employment. Some jobs are just a stepping stone to something greater. A few years ago I was absolutely miserable had an awful employer which at first I thought was going to be a wonderful opportunity. Well I prayed and God moved me in a role I had zero experience in, but had all the skills and abilities to learn. Well now, I am happy, thriving and with a wonderful employer and team that believes in me and the work I do.
