[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to organize. I get a thrill when I see something that could be sorted and managed more efficiently and I am able to use the skills God blessed me with to make change.

2. I get joy from making things for others. I can sew, knit etc and it brings me great joy to see someone wearing something I made them with love.

3. My family and spouse give me fulfillment. I am extremely blessed to be able to be a work at home mom who owns my own business so I can work around the needs of my family but still be with them as much as possible.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I like to work with people of my age (35) or older. I especially like to work with people who are struggling financially.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

It excites me to be training to teach Dave Ramsey’s FPU to as many people as possible within our campus. I am also excited about the new campus in Ohio city as we spend a lot of time in that area in can see its a huge need.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I only became a Christian in 2017. Having been a follower of Dave Ramsey for a couple of years, I became more aware of his scripture teachings and he kept saying before he became a Christian he was missing something. I felt the same so I took the chance to ‘Give God a try’ and learn more by joining a bible study. The more I committed, the more God blessed me. I accepted God into my life in April 2017 and was baptized in March 2018.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

None

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I am married to an amazing man who has given me the confidence I needed to become the best version of myself.

From age 5 I was raised by my grandparents who showed me that no matter how hard life was before, love and understanding can make your future much stronger.

Becoming a mother has been a hugely positive experience and has a big impact on my life.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I was raised from age 0-5 in an abusive household that taught me to become a survivor.

I was married to an abusive husband (and thankfully divorced from too!) but that gave me a great understand of how hard it is to get away from abuse.

I have 2 children with 2 different special needs. It has given me a compassion of how difficult the daily struggle of life can be when you can’t take them for granted.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I would like to teach as many people FPU as possible.

4. I would like to use my skill set to help expand the mission of Journey Church

5. My 10 year goal is ….I would like to have a rental property that could be used for families in need for short periods. I plan to call this The Berridge House of Hope. It would enable people to get their life in order for a few months with the help of myself, my husband and our church community using the skills God has blessed us with.
