2. I love to create in many different ways; especially in the arts.

3. I am a life long learner. I love to explore new ways to better myself to make a bigger impact on the world around me.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I work mainly with young children.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

There is such a big need for those hurting from trauma and isolation. Many are lost and don’t know what to do or feel ashamed and not accepted. I see this in many families; including my own. I want to learn how my learning and personal experiences can make a impact and bring them closer to God.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was born to parents who were Youth pastors. I grow up at my current church since I was 3 years old. I do not remember the first time I specifically asked Jesus into my heart; I was probably a very young child in Children’s Church. However I do know I have surrendered to him several times throughout my Christian walk. There were times where I was strong in my faith and others I strayed from God. Its been a long struggle but as I grow up and matured, I look back and know God was always faithful and there for me with His loving grace. I learned for myself and my family I need to develop better disciplines to grow stronger each day in faith.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Worship Team, Children’s Church and Nursery, Hospitality and small groups, outreach programs, Church Liaison for Pro-life organization

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

The countless Church adult members/friends that influenced my life and encouraged and loved me throughout the years of my life. I have so many to thank.

This may sound odd but the redemption God made out of my sin as a teen turned into what I see now as a positive experience. I became pregnant at 16 but God had a plan that made a scary situation an incredible blessing to not just myself but others. A few weeks after I found out I was pregnant, I was at church asking God what to do. It happened to also be mother’s day. My pastor at the time prayed for women who longed to be mothers but couldn’t; like his daughter. I felt God move me towards adoption. I surrendered it all and trusted God will guide me in this. I spoke to the pastor and found out that his daughter was looking to have an open adoption so that the bio-parents could have a relationship with the child. It was an answer to my prayers because my worry about not knowing how she was doing or if she was with a good family was answered and They were the ones to adopt her. 15 years later I have an incredible extended family through this adoption and I am blown away by how mature and Godly she is becoming. It has been such an incredible journey and testimony to God’s extraordinary faithfulness.

Going to family camp with my family for the first time last year. This is where I felt God moving and the call into ministry at a completely different level. So here I am at Kingswood following His call and equipping myself to help make an impact on others.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I have ADHD and I always felt like an outcast. As a mom with kids who also have ADHD I have great compassion to other with neurodivergence and seek to have a better understanding for myself and them to break stigmas and be more inclusive.

In the past I have been judged and hurt by people in the church. I felt unheard or given up on. Church hurt is a real thing and I have compassion for others who also felt hurt by people who should of shown the love of christ but was meet with pain. I want to be able to help those who have been hurt but also teach others the impact of their actions and prevent church hurt in a loving graceful way.

Three years ago, I was in a very dark place where I felt like my world had fallen apart. I was fighting anxiety, depression, my oldest son was struggling with behaviors, I had a 9 month old, my marriage and other friendships were falling apart, and I just had a miscarriage. I was at my lowest mentally and crying out to God to intervene and with the help of my pastors and counseling, things are getting better. I am still healing but I am in a much better place and on a better path then before. I know God will use my experience to help others.
