This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am pretty consistent with being able to lead and give direction to others, being organized and strategic. I’ve managed the Children & Youth Ministry for many years, which requires strong gifts of Administration.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Until just taking this survey, I didn’t believe that I was gifted in this area. People have always teased me about being a minister or a pastor but I’ve always brushed it off because of the magnitude of that responsibility – I definitely shy away from it. But, I suppose overseeing the children & youth of my church in its own right is pastoring/shepherding.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to share with the body of Christ the joy of loving and serving the Lord. I’m not so experienced with it when it comes to sharing about Him with non-believers. It happens, like on the job, inevitably people will ask me for prayer because they know I am a believer. I suppose that’s evangelism.

[H]eart

1. My church kids! Anything having to do with my kids and helping to groom and shape them gives me pure joy!

2. Music ministry – I’ve been tapering down the level of my involvement lately just due to the extreme busy-ness as of late, but I love music ministry and ministering alongside my fellow Levites!

3. I love planning and communication – I love for the body of Christ to have things to do, to be busy doing Kingdom work and I love for them to be aware and to know what’s going on in their church.

Teenagers!

I’m pretty clear about what excites me. What concerns me is when the body of Christ gets into a rut and does things over and over again the same way without leaving room for God to make change; and I strongly disagree with an over-dependence on bylaws and policy and procedures, most often when it those are giving deference to over the will of God.

I was 12 or 13 and I remember when they did the call to discipleship one Sunday and the Pastor opened the doors of the church, I was compelled to go up front to make that public declaration.

Getting hired on at GMAC-RFC, my first real “career” job where I was able to make some rapid career development moves and receive some awesome, once in a life time achievements

The first time I ever sang a solo, which I used to dread, but did it without the normal fear and trepidation and I just let my love for the Lord shine through

Saying “yes” to leading the Children & Youth ministry and many years before that even, saying yes to leading the children’s choir

When I became ill with a thyroid disease in my senior year of high school, which changed everything I had been planning

Not being able to go away to college, staying here in MN, struggling through my illness

When the church had a major conflict and eventually my pastor moved away
